Given the short notice, I’d say they postponed it because they had another surgery they felt was more urgent. Although, with all the pain and suffering Tami has been through, I find that hard to believe. 😕

Yeah. 🙁 This happened to my dad, and he was in a lot of pain and couldn’t work in the interim.

My art: featherdust.comThat is frusterating. When I had surgery, mine wasn’t postponed..but then again, I have only had one.
We have to phone tomorrow between 2 and 3. Then they will give us a time to show up on Thursday.
I have to take her in, and stay with her until they roll her into the OR room. They can cancel the surgery up until the second she is put out. So until that happens, I can’t leave.
Only then can I go and get her stuff from the car and take it to her room and then wait for her to get out.
Everything’s going to hell again. Last night the espresso machine, the one that we just paid the company $150 to fix, stopped working on one group handle again, so I cleaned it down and out as usual and put the pans in the sink, and then it promptly decided to leak all over the counter and cupboards and floor all night.
So I spent three hours tonight fixing it. Now my sleep schedule that’s been working good for a week just got destroyed.
So Thursday is supposed to be surgery, which means Friday is completely blocked for me, and it’s quarter end. Normally I would be taking 3-4 hours to sit down and bill and configure my quarterly clients.
Saturday I have to be at the cafe all 16 hours because it’s our anniversary and my partner is giving away free computer time … all friggin day. So things will break. Not to mention with all 40 machines going two people need to be on staff.
We’re going to sit down next week and have a little talk about me giving up my time for next to nothing, and it could very well end up with me leaving.
Needless to say don’t expect to see me on here again until next week.
I hope the surgery goes well and you survive the Cafe anniversary. As for the forum, we’ll still be here when you have time for us again. Hugs and good wishes 🙂
I was supposed to open the cafe this morning and forgot to get up.
I hope this time the surgery goes thru for her. What happens if you don’t open it up? Are people there when it first opens?

Tami’s in surgery as we speak. I’m going to attempt to have a nap.
Four hours in surgery, I just got the call, heading back into the city with her parents to see her now.
