Nope, even better. So I have a bit of cash saved, it’s been, emergency money in case the surgery took longer, whatever, that sort of thing. Just stockpiling.
Home Depot has a portable room AC for $499.. I actually bought the same model a couple years ago for $599 at Costco, but it was broken, so I took it back, and I’ve been using my window unit hanging on the patio door.
Well now we’re in a ground floor apartment so I can’t do that (unless I like people walking in).
So I figure… meh.. I have a HD credit card, and anything you buy $450 and up you have 6 months to pay, so you can spread it out and pay no interest, and if you don’t, well, it’s just like a normal credit card. So I figure, WHY NOT, I can pay off $500 over 6 months, and at least have an enjoyable home.
So I go in this morning, pick it up, and I go through the checkout, and damn be me, THIS WEEKEND ONLY, DO NOT PAY FOR ONE FULL YEAR.
BONUS!
Tami is going to be so happy to come home… nice clean rugs, organized home for the first time in years, air conditioning… I tell ya.
And now I can sell my old window unit for probably $200 on top of it.
I am feeling so much better about everything this week. I hope it keeps going.
June 22, 2007 at 9:14 pm #580361Congrats and may your good fortune continue 😀

Oh man, You wanna buy me a Portable AC? My bf has been bugging me to get one. I will have to go check them out. I don’t need another credit card, but not paying it for a year would work out for me. That is so cool she will be coming home to all of that. You are a good man. 😀June 23, 2007 at 9:03 am #580363AnonymousShipping could be an issue.
