Hey! Watch where you send those! *gets out lint brush* 🙂
June 7, 2007 at 6:36 pm #580241sorry. 😳
sending happy thoughts yours and tami’s way. they are less mess. 😀June 7, 2007 at 6:40 pm #580242Yeah, Snap, I hope Tami recovers quick and nicely. I’m glad they finally scheduled the surgery. Take care!
June 7, 2007 at 6:49 pm #580243Yay for Tami!! 😀
Yay for me!! I’ll be able to have a babysitter this fall!! 😈
Yay for Snap’s life being a little bit easier soon!! 😀 Hopefully
But umm yeah sorry for making it a little bit harder in the short term, but I NEED MY PUPPY!! 😯
Oh and The Voluntold has stopped getting lost on his way home from work. Knock on wood, it’s only been 1 day he hasn’t gotten lost. And I’m still willing to stay a bit later/come back in in the evenings if you need that hour or so.June 7, 2007 at 7:28 pm #580244All the best to Tami and you, Snap. Like emerald said – there are more important things now. We can wait for the surprise.

I missed some posts somewhere 😕
Snap, good luck to Tami with the surgery. Let us know how it went and take care.

http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmJune 8, 2007 at 12:16 am #580246I think Lupin works for Snap at the Cafe and needs some time off. I’m not sure about the puppy or the The Voluntold 😯
June 8, 2007 at 12:26 am #580247Or a babysitter.
June 8, 2007 at 12:31 am #580248Maybe the ‘baby sitter’ refers to Tami when her back is better??? 😕
June 8, 2007 at 12:34 am #580249Yeah, I was thinking that.
June 8, 2007 at 3:49 am #580250***Sends positive thoughts and warm fuzzies to Tami for her surgery.***
If I read this thread correctly Lupin TOLD someone he had “volunteered” for something. Thus voluntold.
June 8, 2007 at 4:00 pm #580251AnonymousOK… here’s a summary of events to date:
We live in a 2 bedroom apartment. We used to have a condo with the office in it, but we sold it to raise money to run the business.
I had a new small office right between the cafe and our apartment (seriously, it was like 5 blocks one way, then 5 to go home, it was great) where I stored my desk. It was nice until my car was stolen from out front, and in the same week new owners of the building cut my lease because they wanted my small space to join into a larger office.
So the desk had to come home. The apartment hasn’t been organized since.
The servers are all downtown Edmonton in a data center, so that’s not an issue. Hell, that place costs more than the apartment does!
I want to put the desk into the living room so we can rent the 2nd bedroom to a friend, and I started to move stuff around, when I get this notice that the landlord is installing heat meters on our baseboard water heat, so they can start charging for it. This means they have to measure out the length of the radiators, and everything has to be moved away from them.
So, now the apartment is a COMPLETE WAR ZONE. And thus I am not able to move and setup properly in time to complete the surprise for June 15th, since I can’t move anything now until they come and install this dumb meter, sometime next week.
Lupin had volunteered her baby daddy to come help me move the desk out of the way, but at this point… as far as I’m concerned, these guys are SOL. Even if I move the desk out of the way, there’s no place for it to GO, so they are just going to have to crawl under it and attempt to measure the pipe in the 2nd bedroom through the vent.
Note: The entire desk and hutches and computer cabinets weigh in total between 1500-1700 lbs. I’ve moved these things twice already.
Now in the midst of all this, Tami is staying with her work-at-home-sister-in-law and niece (the one that honked my nose), because of her wait for back surgery, and she’s so drugged I cannot trust her alone at home. But now she needs to come home for the surgery, so I need to make another 500 mile trip to get her again, which is also adding to the surprise delay.
I know you guys will wait for it, I just wanted to bring you all up to speed.
Now instead of sleeping, I’ve been moving/cleaning all night, and now it’s daytime and I feel like sleeping. Blah!
The other big thing that’s getting my goat is the tax man. I had three branches of the Canada Revenuooo Agency after my butt. I managed to catch up and lose one, but the other two are after me for corporate tax filings. I don’t owe any taxes, but the papers still need to be filed. Well, with a war zone for an office, and working anywhere from 20-35 hours a day at the cafe, taking care of Tami.. who has time to work on stupid taxes? So they want my @$$ on a platter… they might get it yet. But they are calling me again this week and saying nasty things so it just puts me more in a foul mood with everything else.
The minor good news is I don’t have to work the cafe tonight… but I’ll probably go get Tami instead.
Thanks for all the support and fuzzies, I need the vacuum cleaner now..
Sorry for the book.
June 8, 2007 at 4:04 pm #580252AnonymousOh, and just in case you wonder how I post on here so much working 35 hours a day… when things go RIGHT at the cafe, I’m basically just tending bar so I have my entire shift to just surf. Which is frustrating because I’d love to be working on paperwork, but it just can’t be done there. Too many distractions.
June 8, 2007 at 4:18 pm #580253AnonymousHere’s some fun for you. I’m embarrased by this, but what can I do.
About 1350 lbs of the desk monster (the rest is in the living room)
Just… crazy
Well, they got their freakin’ space they wanted.
I’m tired.
Look at this white hair coming out of my head, this can’t be normal? It’s blurry, but those are pure white hairs, and there’s lots of them.
June 8, 2007 at 4:25 pm #580254Poor, Poor man. Definately get some sleep.
