pffft….I wonder if you could stand it if we stopped asking about your secret. I think it would drive you crazy!!! 😛
Let’s see who breaks first then. 8)
shoosh…I wouldn’t break. Unfortunately, I can’t control Ski and everyone else. 😈
June 6, 2007 at 11:20 pm #580212AnonymousWell, bad news.
I leave for the cafe tonight and there’s a notice under my door. The landlord is coming next week to install heat meters so they can start charging us for heat.
This means nothing can be around the edge of the living room until it’s done, and I was about to move my desk in there.
I guess better that I got the notice before I moved the desk, but now this puts too much of a delay for me to be ready for the 15th.
June 6, 2007 at 11:27 pm #580213Sorry to hear that Snap. I’ve never heard of heat meters before. How do they work? Is this something apartments normally have? (the last thing you need in Florida is heat meters) 😕
June 6, 2007 at 11:39 pm #580214Aw, I bet your just saying that snap so we can twitch some more. 😛
June 6, 2007 at 11:44 pm #580215AnonymousI imagine it’s nothing more than a glorified water meter, since the heat is baseboard water. Normally in apartments you pay for power, and gas/heat/water/plumbing/etc. is included in your rent.
With the economy in Alberta going to inflation hell because of the oil boom, rent is going through the roof, and they’re trying to recouperate anything they can.

No. It’s not even funny. The whole apartment experience has me very much pissed off.

Sorry Snap. I’m sure you’re getting hit with rising expenses in both of your businesses, as well as at home. It isn’t right and we’re all stuck with it. It’s happening down here too. 👿
June 7, 2007 at 12:34 am #580221I’m screwed the market finally got soft right after I FINALLY bought a condo and had to move 71 miles from work to get my condo and now the condo’s are on the market for $15K less and not selling so I can’t go anywhere. Now that my mom amd grandma are gone I can move anywhere I want to but I’m stuck in Lodi and hating it. The closest big city is Sacramento and it’s about 35 miles north of me. So I feel for all you still paying rent and dealing with the rising cost of living
But now you can tell us all the surprise!!!
June 7, 2007 at 1:52 am #580222Are you saying that Lodi isn’t a booming metropolis? I seem to recall that they had a Mcdonalds and a Burger king last time I passed through. What more could you want? 🙄
June 7, 2007 at 2:18 am #580223AnonymousI lost 60-80K by selling 6 months early on mine. It went for 157 and now it’s worth 275-300. Oil boom = crap for the people who live where the oil is.

We have a Taarget. Wal-Mart Home Depot and Lowes too!! It’s growong like CRAZY too they are buildign houses everywhere out here but they are not selling. They took over the tennis courts for the Apts across the street and built 8 3 bedroom patio homes that got finished abotu 6 months ago and I still can’t tell if they have sold any. I think 1 is sold but I’m not sure. They hit the market at $335K which is just totally overpriced for my area right now
