It’s good that he would listen. Good grief, having one’s mate in the hospital is plenty stressful; anyone would need a shoulder to cry on! (That detestable woman! 👿 How dare she say that to you?) I’m sorry that he’s feeling the need to drink; it’s got to be as hard for him, dealing with your mother, as it is for you. And at least women are allowed, socially, to have a good cry now and again and let off the steam. Men aren’t “supposed to”. (Which is just plain silly, but whatever. 🙄 )
