OMG that’s awful..*hugs*….hang in there. 😥 😥 😥
April 24, 2008 at 5:12 pm #692945I’m so sorry to hear that phoenix! You may never “get over it” but with time the pain will lessen. It is done, don’t beat yourself to death. It was an unfortunite accident, not a deliberate act. Sending hugs and support!
April 24, 2008 at 5:15 pm #692946Saying I am sorry just isn’t enough because it is so hard to lose a pet but I really am sorry for your loss but don’t keep blaming yourself for a freak accident and I know that is hard to do.
April 24, 2008 at 5:16 pm #692947I’m so sorry Phoenix. I used to leave halters on my horses all the time. I didn’t know they could get hung up on something and cause such a serious injury. I’m so sorry for your loss.
April 24, 2008 at 5:50 pm #692948I’m so sorry Phoenix. **Hugs**
April 24, 2008 at 6:04 pm #692949I am so shocked. it just seems to horrible to really have happend….
i am so sorry for you, that is so terrible. I really wish there was something nice and comforting i could say that would make it all better. hugs.April 24, 2008 at 6:05 pm #692950Thanks again. Really. You all are such great supporters. I know I’ll quit crying soon.
I had to call into work today, but had to hand the phone to Mike cause I’m such a wus.
I’m here eating chocolate brownies for breakfast and trying to mix some stupid yellow paint to do a kirin that looks like her.
Why is paly and buckskin yellow so hard???
The Kirins are great cause their little faces totally have that Welsh pony look!I was getting ready to find one of the sisters a new home. I guess that made my decision easy, huh? 🙄
Thanks again all.
April 24, 2008 at 6:07 pm #692951I am so very sorry. Please remember any time we lose a loved one, four footed or two, there are always what-ifs. It was a freak accident. Horses keep their halters on all the time. Please try to focus on your other ponies and let the passage of time ease your pain. In the meantime, know that we all grieve with you. 🙁
April 24, 2008 at 6:42 pm #692952I’m so sorry, Phoenix. *hugs*
April 24, 2008 at 6:49 pm #692953What a terrible accident. I’m so sorry. *Hugs*
April 24, 2008 at 8:03 pm #692954A friend just sent me this link to cheer me up. The shirts are sold out, but really captures the pony mentality… I’ll have to keep checking back to see if I can get one.
April 24, 2008 at 9:06 pm #692955I am sorry for your loss also Phoenix. I know it is hard to lose a pet. And, the what-if’s that follow can be worse, but sometimes it is just the will of God or whatever higher power you may believe in that it is time to call back one of earth’s creatures. She will live in your heart forever. Keep her there. We are all here for you. **tons of hugs and well wishes**
April 24, 2008 at 9:14 pm #692956I’m VERY sorry fo your loss!
It brings up a good point though. You should NOT leave cats and dogs in their colors in the house. They can catch them on something and hang themselves too
April 24, 2008 at 9:18 pm #692957Very true about the collars. A friend of mind had a sheepdog that hung itself. Hindsight is 20/20 🙄
April 24, 2008 at 9:20 pm #692958🙁 So Sorry for you, Phoenix…it was not your fault.
You got distracted with the other pony and that disrupted your routine.
It happen to the best of us.
Hugs! -
