What do you call a group of dragons?
A pride of dragons?
A trove of dragons?
An expenditure of dragons?Make up some.

April 4, 2011 at 6:04 am #841675“A Confabulation of Dragons”
I have always been fascinated by the words that have become the names for groups of various types of animals, such as a gaggle of geese, a pod of whales, or a pride of lions, which are some of the more commonly used terms. But there are also those like a mob of kangaroos, a convocation of eagles and two of my favorites: a skulk of foxes and a parliament of owls.
In that vein, I was wondering what a group of dragons might be called, hence “A Confabulation of Dragons.” Scott Gustafson

April 4, 2011 at 1:32 pm #841683🙂 I like a “charm of dragons” or a “knot of dragons” 🙂
April 4, 2011 at 1:43 pm #841685I have to agree with Lupus on a “Clutch”. Clutch makes me think of 2 things-a clutch purse (which has money or gold coins which dragons love) and a nest full of lil’ baby alligators.
I’d also go with
a coven of dragonsApril 4, 2011 at 1:53 pm #841687How about a Forum of Dragons?
April 4, 2011 at 2:01 pm #841689I like the Skein of dragons. Sounds cool.

April 4, 2011 at 3:53 pm #841692I think Melody’s suggestion of “an overdraft of dragons” was exactly right. Flight and financial impact in one neat phrase.
April 4, 2011 at 5:27 pm #841702Fire-based
A blaze of dragons
An inferno of dragonsWind-based
A draft of dragons (while overdraft might be appropriate in some cases, the basis for this one is the wind off their wings when flying/landing/taking off in groups)
A whirlwind of dragonsSound-based (imagine the noise of a bunch of dragons!)
A cacophony of dragons
A clamber of dragons
A dissonance of dragons
A tumult of dragonsObserver-based (Imagine walking through some beautiful meadow, coming over a rise, and there are dragons!)
A terror of dragons
A dread of dragons
An admiration of dragons
An impression of dragons
An amazement of dragonsTreasure-based
A sparkle of dragons
A hoard of dragons
A cache of dragons -
