Oh come on now there are other women in the department that still work while pregnant. Just because I have a few people over 400lbs doesn’t mean I should go on light duty does it? /jk

35lbs was all I was allowed and I had a very normal pregnancy. Yours is a bit more high risk, simply due to how hard it was to achieve. Anyway, I know I am preaching to the choir here, but as much as you love your job, go sit in the dugout for the duration, light duty.

Sending out healthy baby vibes, hope you guys are wanting a little boy…cause that’s what you’re getting. 😀

My sister worked out at the gym while she was pregnant and her labor only lasted a hr. I would definately say light duty is the way to go.

Umm Purpledoggy I just remembered something else… Don’t forget to make Hubby clean the Cat Litter, especially if you have a newer cat!!! It not good for us to do so!! Toxoplasmosis I believe it’s offically called!! I call it perfectly legitimate excuse to have someone else do the most hated of household chores, that “Just in case” factor!! 😈

There are several issues w/lifting, and it is best to err on the side of caution. My 1st pregnancy I continued doing everything, including lifting furniture & boxes when we moved in the 4th month …and I got a hernia, which only got worse throughout the pregnancy 🙁 . Also had bleeding w/2nd pregnancy and miscarried, so when I had bleeding w/the 3rd I really stressed out and had the ultrasound (dr says, oh it’s normal to bleed, blah blah) but I felt soooo much better knowing there was a heartbeat. (course I also started sobbing right before he could do the ultrasound I was so worried and I’m not really a crier, so I’m sure he was relieved too that all was good)
“What to expect” was a great book, but there are 2 others I liked because they gave more frequent updates on what was going on w/the baby. One was a British book by Miriam Stoppard (The new pregnancy & birth book) and I’ll pm you the other when I find it. 🙂

Please make sure your doctor follows you closely, and it’s okay to call him/her even if you think it’s a stupid question. We lost our baby at 9 weeks, and I was bleeding too. We had a heartbeat and then we didn’t. I mustave called the office about 30 times. I hope all will be well for you. Baby Blessings!!!!

I wear gloves when I clean the litter box. My husband can’t do it because of his health condition. I just make sure to wear gloves and wash my hands after I’m done.

That’s more or less all you need to do to keep yourself safe. 🙂

I thought it had something to do with something in the air w/the litter?? Gloves would not help if thats the case. Anyone know??

It is in the fumes, but when I was preg & cleaning litterboxes, both my vet & midwife said as long as I was careful it was prob. okay as it’s pretty rare. Vet said she’d never had a cat w/the bacteria come in …

Gloves are good, but you really need to wear a mask as it’s something in the dust/airborne particles of the cat poo. Ask your doctor about it!!! most of them don’t even think about things like this! 😕 Even if you don’t ask him, wear the gloves and mask and wash after, just to be safe!! Baby Blessings 😀
