I LOVE to hear peoples reaction when I do something ike that and see how they try to battle me to justify the prices
Speaking of that, I got business for the one upstairs by specifically saying the prices were up to hundreds of dollars less for certain Windstone items, when I saw people wandering in the ‘spensive one Snap was talking about. Man were they mad at me.
And when I asked why they were so bloody expensive, they told me “well, it’s a collectible.” And then I told them I could get it online for almost half the price. And then they walked away from me. 😆

I only go there if I absolutely have to go to IKEA.
See I only go when it is not busy, I stay out of that city on long weekends, and as I am not a huge shopper anyways, we usually only end up at the theater, LOL.
August 26, 2008 at 1:15 am #729327SEC with all that construction is… murder now. I had to drive through the area to visit a friend of mine and… gads! At least they have signs…. not like Southgate, they are doing construction on the LRT so they took out most of the road signs… I mean… I need those! They tell me where I am! So Snap, you know that kid who got shot a few weeks ago? Yeah, that was within sight of my apartment… and there was a manhunt in the park next to our place a week ago… I think I know why my rent is so cheap… 😆
Ok… now, anything about Edmonton we don’t want to complain about?
August 26, 2008 at 2:54 am #729328AnonymousYeah but Clareview is a hole, period. One shooting isn’t going to make a difference. There is constant drug dealing and car break-ins / thefts around where I just moved away from.
August 26, 2008 at 3:25 am #729329WOW thats expensive, I think the Emperors around here are $450 Canadian…but WOW $600 thats alot… 😯

Eww that is kinda scary, that is one of the biggest differences between fort mac and regular cities, there you can say “ohh stay away from this area it is really bad for drugs” or what have you, here it is scattered all through the city, no place is immune. A couple are less likely, because they only have one exit/entrance, but crap happens there anyways, the cops just lock it down easier 😆 . That makes the mac sound really bad, but it isnt.
Is there anything about Edmonton that I dont complain about, well at least it isnt Grande Prairie, nothing is worse than that hole, Zama included. 😆
August 26, 2008 at 5:31 am #729331$600 for an emp? Do they actually sell anything like that?
August 26, 2008 at 2:43 pm #729332AnonymousIn their defense it might have been a rising spectral or something, I didn’t look too closely at it, I just saw 599- and went ungh. Still. I don’t know if they actually sell anything, tc_cat would know, it’s her boyfriend that is the manager.
August 26, 2008 at 2:47 pm #729333They also have quite a bit of retired stuff, but pretty much all of it as damage of some sort or another, it is only very recently that they bothered to put them behind glass, and the place is horribly cluttered.
August 26, 2008 at 3:02 pm #729334AnonymousAs far back as I’ve been there, it’s always been behind glass, the problem is the staff let anyone fondle the pieces and there is a lot of paint rubbing, chipped, etc.
Remember the whole story of how the forum started? I wanted to buy the Peacock OW, and I hummed and hawed for two years, finally said yes, then found a broken claw and missing paint. That’s when I hunted Windstone down, and we made the forum.
August 26, 2008 at 3:08 pm #729335See they have a few pieces on the shelves, but they also had a ruby Emp that was set on top of on of the stands, and then a ruby riser that was below it, no glass. You can see that some stuff has been dropped on top of them, they had an arc candlelamp that seemed to have had something dropped on it as well.
August 26, 2008 at 3:26 pm #729336AnonymousExcellent!
August 26, 2008 at 4:29 pm #729337Oh Snap! You helped create the Windstone Forum?? I didn’t know that! You should call yourself “Forum Creator”! 😀
August 26, 2008 at 5:37 pm #729338AnonymousHelped? I did all of it, and I run and maintain it on my servers. Where have you been? 😆 😉 heheheh.
