Yes, especially when the dog gets older (and the tail gets bigger and longer) the tails can be dangerous. I had a Labrador and a Rott mix both with whip tails. And both hit me in the eye by accident and it hurt like crazy!!! I couldn’t see for two minutes out of the eye they whip-tailed me with because they were so happy to see me. The cropped tail won’t change how much he loves you!

He is Adorable…I hope you end up keeping him, thats how I got my puppy and he is totally spoiled now…he’s a Doberman and he is a total suck….
