1. Favorite color? Blue – any shade or tint
2. Favorite ice cream flavor? Homemade vanilla and (don’t laugh) garlic from the Gilroy Garlic Festival in Cali
3. You prefer white or whole wheat bread? Whole wheat! The more seeds on it, the better.
4. Do you prefer to write with black or blue ink? I don’t know… It’s not really the color of the ink that matters, it’s the tactile feeling of the pen on the paper – some pens and some paper have a better feel to them than others… Blue ink, I guess 😈
5. What is your favorite board game? Blokus
6. What was your favorite toy as a child? Sounds silly, but my imagination. I was constantly ‘living’ somewhere else and ‘experiencing’ other lives. It could really get me in trouble sometimes – school, in particular, because of daydreaming , books (fairytales and fantasy), blocks and legos
7. Favorite toy now? Vintage space legos and my boys (who unfortunately have inherited my imagination)
8. Is it you or your significant other that programs the VCR/DVD clock? Both!
9. What is the weirdest thing you’ve ever seen someone do or you did yourself (and lets keep this PG-13, K =P)? When I was 6 or 7 years old, I scared myself silly by wondering about the reflections in mirrors… mine in particular. How did she know when to show up? What would happen if she didn’t? How did I know that I WASN’T the reflection? If I was, how did I know to show up? It just went on and on. It took a good 2-3 months to get over that one… (was the house the same as mine? If I stretched real hard I could almost see down the hallway in the mirror – the hall looked the same as mine, but did the rest of the house; the outside; was there an outside? 🙄 )
10. If you were a new character in the imaginary Pixar movie “Cars 2”, which car would they use to represent you? Hmm, I’ll have to think on that one…
11. Who do you think would win in a fight, Medusa or a snake-charmer? Hands down, Medusa! Not that she’d always want too – read “Voyage of the Basset” by James C. Christensen with Renwick St. James and Alan Dean Foster 😀
12. If you were a Circus Performer/Act, which one would you be? I’d love to be an aerialist but I’m really chicken, so would have to work into it slowly.
13. If you saw a 100-dollar bill on the street, would you: a.) Pick it up
14. If you picked up the 100 dollar bill (because really, Candid Camera? Come-on!), what would you do with it/spend it on? It’s not mine, so I wouldn’t spend it… I’d turn it in to the police station so they could try to find the owner.
15. If your friend tells you that he saw a ghost, would you: Seeing as how I used to work at the Winchester Mystery House, I’d listen to what they had to say… There were lots of ‘interesting’ happenings at the house; enough so, that it at least made you stop and think that there really might be a such thing as ‘ghosts’

March 10, 2009 at 6:32 am #752553There’s actually such a thing as garlic ice cream? That’s interesting. Does it actually taste like garlic. (I like garlic.)
Your “mirror anxiety” is rather amusing. A lot of philosphers are still brooding over questions like that, you know. 😆March 11, 2009 at 3:07 pm #752554It does taste like garlic and it’s funny to see people’s reactions to it 😀 It is sweet, of course, and I find that the garlic is more pronounced in the “after taste” than in the first initial taste (does that make sense 😕 ) Most folk try it for it’s novelty factor and don’t care for it one bit – there are some out there, like me, that really like it 😀
Mirror anxiety and my imagination… I have to be very careful about what my boys see, hear, etc. since they inherited my imagination 😈 especially since there have been television ads running lately about a horror movie that is very similar to what I imagined all those years ago 😮 I thought that the boys would’ve grown out of being “carried away” by their imagination by now, but since mine still runs rampant, why shouldn’t theirs? 😆 Darn thing just doesn’t want to listen to me… 😕 😀

Previously, I’ve looked into unpainted resin kits as a more affordable option, and I’m always tempted, but I don’t think I can pull off painting their eyes as well as a professional can.
Oh, I know what you mean – the eyes are usually the hardest part for me, too. Plus, I don’t have an airbrush to really soften the skin tones, which is a bit of a pain. But the price is just irresistible sometimes! 🙂
Well, I think I just found an unpainted kit I love, so maybe if I get it and attempt to paint it, I’ll ask you for advice.March 12, 2009 at 7:18 am #752556twindragonsmum wrote:2. Favorite ice cream flavor? Homemade vanilla and (don’t laugh) garlic from the Gilroy Garlic Festival in Cali
Wouldn’t laugh at all, but I just can’t imagine how it would taste, even with your description. Same with Jennifer’s Green Tea ice cream; I’m trying to “taste” them in my mouth, and I’m finding it impossible.

I remember you mentioning working there before. Any stories you feel comfortable sharing? We actually have a ghost story thread around here somewhere but it might have been before you were a member.
March 12, 2009 at 12:23 pm #752557Oh yes! Ghost stories! Please! 😀

Green tea ice cream is actually quite good… had it at a sushi place once. If you’ve had the green tea latte from starbucks, it kinda tastes like that in ice cream…. that’s the best description. I’m scared to try garlic…. lol

+1 Let’s hear them 🙂
And I found the old ghost stories thread. I completely forgot which thread topic contained those stories; too funny that it was the SG one (well, funny now, maybe not then)! 😆 Wonder what ever happened to Art Slinger?
And thanks Dragon87, I’ve never tried a green tea latte, but now I’m intrigued.
