I talked with my ob and she said it was up to me and they didn’t have a medical reason to do it just yet so I canceled it. I can tell my husband was mad about that but he won’t tell me that. He just keeps saying its my choice and he is behind me in whatever I do but I can still tell he’s mad. He has a doctors appointment next week and he is convinced I’m going to have her then. My doctor doesn’t think I will last the weekend so we will see. I have an appointment with the mean old midwife tomorrow. Last time I saw her she was very rough and I was in pain for the rest of the day. I’m just so convinced this kid is never going to come out. Oh well I get to keep all the windstones I’ve been collecting for her then 😈

            I’m glad you cancelled.

Have you dialated any more since the last update?

Danny has to realize that scheduling his daughter’s birth for the sake of convinence is just selfish, his doctor’s appointment can be rescheduled, not the end of the world if he misses it.

She’ll get here when she’s ready. Forcing her into the world early has consequences, my niece was taken by c-sec 2 weeks early, within an hour of birth her right lung collapsed, no one got to hold her, not even her parents and she was stabilized and sent to another hospital 100 miles away. It was not a fun first 2 weeks. She’s a beautiful healthy 13 year old now, but the doctor’s rush to get her nearly killed her. There were very good medical reasons for it, but it was still a serious risk.

Since you have no medical reasons, why rush her, yes, we’re all impatient to see her, but that’s not a good enough excuse.

Anyway, all my love to you and yours, yep Danny too, and hang in there, she’ll be here soon, and then 8 hours of uninteruppted sleep will be a thing of the past for at least 6 months, so enjoy it while you can!

besides if she does not come out the regular way you can just give birth to her like in Alien!! But hopefully you will survive!

                ROFLMAO!!!hehehehe

                Seriously I’m glad you cancelled

                You did the right thing.

When first time moms get induced, the pitocin makes the contractions hard…unusually so…then the poor mama begs for an epidural, then she doesn’t feel the contractions as much, then, they up the pitocin…then as a last resort they break your water. After that the clock is ticking, and things still don’t always move along. Then you have baby in distress or mama gets a fever….

Wham, Bam, Now you get a C-Section!!!!!!Aren’t you happy? and Wow, the doctor can make his tee time!!!

The baby will come when the baby is ready and daddy just needs to be happy to let nature take it’s course.

I am sorry you have a mean Midwife! Tell her something. As an NP, I would be horrified if I hurt a patient, or if a patient thought I was mean or incompetant. You owe it to her and especially you, to say something if she isn’t taking good care of you! You hurting all day after an exam, is NOT good care!

Nurse Providers are usually friendlier, more concerned and more approachable than some of their MD counterparts. I work hard to make sure my patients like me, trust me and return to me for care! I have to represent all Nurse Providers and I want people to have a good experience!

Tell Danny to be patient and “Good things come to those who wait” and your daughter is worth waiting for
