If she gives me a full refund, and lets me keep the dragons, i’ll make a note in the line, but it’ll be positive. Perhaps she truely thought they’d survive??
Oh HECK no… don’t even give her a positive… NUETRAL at the very least. People have to be warned… and a positive will NOT help that… it will reflect good unless people actually take the TIME to read them.
Nuetral and nothing higher. π
You’re right. I don’t like screwing people on feedback, but I guess it wouldn’t help too much “item arrived smashed but at least I got a refund” π―
She’s not a big eBayer it apprears. Account’s been dead long enough none ofthe links work.

Maybe try turning the flash off and see if that makes the damage easier to see? If there’s some sunlight in your area take them out into indirect light for them.

I want you to get your money back, but I’d hate to see the poor thing go in the trash. He was so beautiful. π
they’re even worse without the flash killing all the little chips π₯
I actually did write to whippet while I was waiting for all the pix to upload. *sigh* I just wanted him to be perfect. I didn’t mind the TINY chip on mama. But hubby is so supportive of all of my crazy hobbies, and he just loves that male dragon. he even bought one off ebay! He thinks the dragons are fantastic, and when I had all three curls, he adored the white one. It jsut seemed so perfect… π₯

He was right dead center of the box. Each one had about a 4 foot peice of bubble wrap, which when you’re only a coupel inches tall, makes for a nice cushiony ride. Bet he feels like a turd, surviving the ride. Gonna have to sell him just so he doesn’t get beat up or sat on by the angry dragons. π―

I know, i should have done that. I was so upset when I took the pix I’m actually impressed they even turned out. My hands where shaking, and even the dog just walked in the other room π―
Think i’ll post more tonight. Esp if she gives me one ounce of sass.
March 15, 2007 at 8:19 pm #551904Wow bluepony…I can’t see the pictures here at work (dang military computers with all their restrictions!), but I can only feel your pain. I’ve had an emperor arrive SMASHED and it just really sucked, especially when you get a good deal! (I got the Peacock Emperor – mint condidtion for $90!! So much for that good deal…) I would recommend talking with the seller before leaving negative feedback, just in case they are very understanding, apologize and give you a refund. The seller I got mine from refunded my money in its entirety, so I only left a neutral feedback mentioning the poor packaging since she/he was willing to work things out.
March 15, 2007 at 8:21 pm #551905Those are very sad pics, bluepony. I’m sorry that seller didn’t bother with decent packing. Broken Windstones are awful.

That’s kinda my plan. I do want to give her a chance to try to make it right. I’m still just shocked. no peanuts. no nothing. toss ’em in the box and boot them out the door, $200 richer.
That just SUCKS about yours! man.
Maybe now I’ll just overpay on everything. Good deals give mea headache π
March 15, 2007 at 8:26 pm #551907Same thing happened to my peacock emperor! I got him for a good price.. he arrived decapitated ;_; He’s still sitting here… π
March 15, 2007 at 8:27 pm #551908Sorry about your dragons, but I agree with Phoenix. If the seller fixes things to your satisfaction, there is no reason to leave neg or even neutral. Mention bad packing, for sure, but if you work things out and the seller is cooperative, dont punish w/bad feedback. Get a full refund, though. Its amazing that folks actually think they will survive packed in one sheet of bubble wrap. I feel your pain. I think we all do! π
March 15, 2007 at 8:30 pm #551909We all do. There’s probably not one of us who hasn’t had a Windstone arrive broken.

I have to disagree with you Ski….
Soooooo many people buy from ebay… and they don’t look at the seller’s feedback… they see 95%… to 100%… how many of those feedbacks are like that? “horrible packing… given full refund…” I don’t want to buy from a seller like that! I want to KNOW by the percentage of their feedback… I want to see…
Overall… if you are satisfied with how the resolved the issue… then Nuetral is appropriate… positive is not… because regardless of how they resolved the issue… there was still something WRONG with the transaction. Positive feedback is only appropriate for transactions that went relatively smoothely and you received your item, intact… as described… and for the most part on time…
I don’t give out bad feedback as a rule… (I think I’ve given out all of 5 in the 8 years I’ve been on ebay) unless there was something seriously wrong with the transaction… as seen in this case.

Think i’ll just wait and worry about the feedback when it matters. Right now I’m more worried about the refund.
March 15, 2007 at 8:34 pm #551912We each see things differently, LB. π I was just giving an opinion on how I would deal with it. Leaving neutral does not affect their percentage anyway. If they had 100% before the neutral, they will have 100% after the neutral, so if buyers dont read it, it does them no good anyway. Good luck with the refund BP.

π Sorry… it just irks me when people get off like that…
My dad does it too… doesn’t push the issue… and to a degree I’m like him (I’m totally non-confrontational…) But… ARGH it just gets me that people can be THAT blatantly uncaring…
I bought a box of model horses from a girl in Canada… when I got them… they were all tossed in a huge box… NO packing… just plastic bags over them.
Granted… it was a “body” box…
But the ONE I wanted out of the lot… a porcelain not too unlike a Windstone in makeup… was intact (by her ad…)
When they arrived… not only was THAT one broken and in about 10 piece… but so were most of the other horses…
it’s just totally unacceptable. Sadly that transaction wasn’t through ebay… π
