I’m going to be an Aunty!
My sister (who got married in June) informed the family that she is 6 weeks pregnant and Due in Mid April. About the same time as my brothers upcoming wedding 😛

August 14, 2007 at 10:22 pm #608208Congrats! Being an aunt is the best – you can hand the baby back when an odor arises and when the kid is older and you are asked to babysit you can give him/her a coke slurpee right before Mom and Dad pick up! I also taught one niece that a duck says “aflac” which I thought was funny but my sister not so much.
For some reason I’m not asked to babysit all that often… 😆
August 14, 2007 at 10:29 pm #608209Congrats, foxfeather! That’s great!
August 14, 2007 at 10:46 pm #608210Congrats. I love being a aunt espically since I don’t have any kids of my own. I get to spoil him rotten and then give him back to my sister.
ddvm, I am going to teach my nephew that a duck says aflac….hahaha

Hey, I’m glad somebody thought it was funny! 😉
August 15, 2007 at 3:07 am #608212congrats. My sister and I are not having kids. I’m 41 and GAY she is 43 and her 1st marriage did not work and it does not sound as if she will get married again or EVER have kids
August 15, 2007 at 3:37 am #608213Being an Auntie is cool. Especially since my grand nephew is also into dragons. He tells his friends I’m the ‘cool’ Auntie because I like dragons.
I missed the all the baby stuff because I only rediscovered my sister last year. We’d lost each other for about 30 years. I also discovered another sister that I didn’t know about and also found out that my father wasn’t who I thought he was. 2006 was an interesting year. 😀

August 15, 2007 at 6:20 am #608215Well, I kinda knew last week cause I got the phone call asking if there was such a thing as a false positive….. 😯
Yeah, being the aunt is great. You feed the kids sugar a half hour before they go home 😈
I went surfing looking at teddy bears on the Gund site. Every kid needs a teddy bear that will last a lifetime and Gund is not only soft and squishy they’re machine washable! I’ll be nice to my sister for a while 😉 Gund even has a really cute dragon line right now. I think my future niece/nephew will need one of those from thier dragon mad aunt!
August 15, 2007 at 11:07 am #608216Congratulations! Yup, definitely go for the Gund dragon. Be an original!
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

August 15, 2007 at 3:03 pm #608219Congrats! Aunts are sooo cool! (I say this as a cool aunt … I buy the best gifts, and as a niece w/a great bond w/my aunt, who is also super cool.) Of course, now that I have kids, I understand the parents’ horror at the large sized gifts I often brought… 🙂
