http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmAugust 11, 2008 at 1:51 am #727582We have a cage to catch the rabbits who chomp away on my flowers. Last year, we caught a skunk, who decided to dig itself out, almost taking my hosta with it!
This year, bingo again! This time, the hosta escaped and we filmed the skunk. You can see the critter trying to open the cage and dig itself out. I don’t know if it was the same skunk as last year, but it never did come back then!
Warning, the film is 30 megs, so if you’re not on high-speed, it’ll take way too long to download.

August 11, 2008 at 3:24 am #727586Aww, did he get away ok? (didn’t see the video) When I lived in California we had a family of wild skunks that lived under our house, they got to trust us enough that they would come get peanut butter and mozzarella cheese right out of our hands 😆
August 11, 2008 at 1:04 pm #727587I slowly put an old towel on the cage, waited 5 minutes, then my husband opened the door. About 30 seconds later, it exited!
It’s actually a regular sized skunk; it’s the cage that’s not very big. We catch them because we put the cage at a yard entry point for critters. I’d seen rabbits come in and exit, but apparently, it’s a general highway, not just for rabbits 😀
