Sketch I shared in my LJ and my DevArt that I thought y’all might like to see. I have another piece I’m working on right now, but I plan to buy some illustration board and paint this one. Should be a nice challenge if I don’t wimp out and paint it in Photoshop instead.

I was thinking of making him white with a red or black mane, koi-like maybe, I’m not sure yet, but the whole thing just feels very serene to me and when I choose colors I’d like to keep it that way.

      What do you guys think?

Ever thought of keeping it black and white with a wee bit of watercolor in the background?

Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

I dunno. I kind of think the whole thing needs a little color. In Illustration board, I can make acrylics act like watercolor, which is how I’d use them.

The bonus is though that this sketch is in my moleskine book, so I’d be transferring it anyway, which means if I screw it up the first time, the original sketch is unmarred and I can try again.
