From experience, the ow doesnt seem so big in the photos, but when I got mine…I was shocked at his bulk, a shelf needs to be nice and deep for him, keep in mind his weight is only a couple ounces off from the emperor’s. I just sat and stared at him for forever….drooling… 😆
Haha. XD Yeah, I can tell the OW is a big one! I was more interested in the height of the emperor as compared to the others. =) But I do want an OW (haven’t decided on a color yet) eventually…hrm.
And yeah, the hatchers are a bit bigger than you’d think, eh? Man, I can’t wait for the silver kinglets!
Thanks for the pics. =)
February 15, 2008 at 2:40 am #665356The hatchers are a LOT bigger than I thought they were… the OW and emp are huge too. I remember the first time I saw them in a store I was like O__O wow. XD;
February 15, 2008 at 2:46 am #665357here’s one for you…they are all together in a group…
it’s harder to see in my signature…but here’s the big pic…
I had a pic of the female griffin next to my OW…she’s pretty close in size…..
but I must have trashed it…
February 15, 2008 at 3:22 am #665358(sigh) I love that picture!!! 🙂
February 15, 2008 at 11:35 am #665359That pic really brings it home re: how big the Keeper is. Amazing!
February 15, 2008 at 1:00 pm #665360Wow, a perfectly matched family! That’s a great picture, because I *do* have a male dragon, so it’s nice seeing the Emperor right behind him…
Hey, you live in Amarillo…the company I work for is based there. o.o;

February 15, 2008 at 7:43 pm #665365The beast that is known as Hastings. XD
But yeah, they keep sending us emails saying they have all these jobs available…if you’re willing to relocate to Amarillo. Heh. No offense, but no way! Cape isn’t a thrill ride, but from what I hear, Amarillo could possibly challenge it for boring-ness. >.>;

challenge and defeat…..
I know Hastings…it’s honestly not a horrible company…I’ve talked to the owner and his wife a lot…they are goofy…but not as bad as some of the company owners around here…
and I’ve worked for them before…some jobs they have are better than others….
February 15, 2008 at 9:51 pm #665367Yeah, John Marmaduke has visited our store a couple of times. He does seem like a nice guy. Sometimes the difficulty of communicating specific store needs to the corporate level just drives you nutty, though. XD Otherwise, I like my job, and the people I work with. The book discount is the best, too. >.>v
February 18, 2008 at 2:22 am #665368Most of mine are in a different state right now, but I do have an OW, a Lap, and a Young at hand for size comparisons, so here you go:
from the front, with a paperback book behind them for height comparison:
The Lap from the top, paperback included, so you can see his “footprint”:
The OW in the same position:
And then all three together:
…MAN, next time I visit my parents I have GOT to take pictures of the rest of the collection! They’re not *quite* as impressive as Fr0zen’s, but I like to think they’re on their way. 🙂
Interested in buying or trading for: GB Pebble Sitting Red Fox in dark grey, Lap Dragon Test Paints (Water Sprite, Glacial Pearl, Opulence, Pastel Rainbow, and many others - see my Classifieds ad), Blue Morpho OW, GB Pebble Loaf dragons in blue/aqua/teal, and Griffin Test Paints (Black Rainbow or Frosted Jade).
February 18, 2008 at 2:48 am #665369I love that OW….*sigh* so jealous. 😉
My most wanted list: carnelian mouse wizard, copper patina frog wizard, autumn leaf poads, pumpkin spice kitties
