First test paint of Sir Garlen , a character from my graphic novel “The Veligent”. He is easy to paint, but matching the the eyes is going to be troublesome! If they are light in color, the pupils must be exactly the same size, and centered perfectly, or he looks really stupid.
Here is the cover mock up of the book cover for “the Veligent” . It shows a detail of Sir Garlen during one of his off moments.
He’s so gorgeous! He’s like the very best combo of a wolf and a goat. I hope you paint some different colored test paints ones one day. This cover looks amazing, too! I’m always so in awe of your talent!

Size-wise, what is he? Same size as the pebble cougar, with a little more weight above the shoulders?

His eyes here are metallic beige.

He is bigger the cougar.He’s about 3 inches longer and more than an inch taller (not counting the horns). I underestimated his size, he is over 9 1/2 inches long.

Since, from my facebook comments, many folks seem to really want Sir Garlen as a pyo.
I think I will offer Sir Garlen painted, and signed by me, (black with a grey leg, it’s cannon you know) as a one time Kickstarter reward. Then offer him as a pyo after the kickstarter is over.
That sounds great and ties in nicely as an upper level Kickstarter Reward – especially since Sir Garlen is one of the graphic novel characters.
