Single color collection (or mostly)

Things have changed for me quite a bit. I now have the original family (male, mother, young, hatching) in Rainbow. And a variation of the original family in Old Green (male, mother, young, and curly).

I still have my Emerald Rising Spectral, and now I have a Red Fire Sitting Spectral too.

Gold Emperor and OW. Emerald Lap, Jade Scratcher. All the curlies, and a few of the coileds (working on finishing getting them).

Hatching Royalty in Peacock (all three).

I guess I have the most Emeralds. Rising Spectral, Lap, Young, Curly, Mouse Wizard. Although, I had intended to get the Golds. 😳 Oh, well. Things change, I guess.

I was just collecting all the production color old warriors but now I’ve decided to collect all the sculpts that have come out in rainbow. So far I’ve only got a rainbow male and I just got a young dragon in rainbow. I have the royal hatchers on the way in rainbow too. My rainbow male was my first windstone and I just love the color.

I wish I had the funds and the space to collect everything of one color! The closest I can come would be the Peacocks, of which I have an emperor, mother, young, hatchling, oriental, coiled mom, both royal hatchers, and a fledgeling. Other than that, I’ve tried to focus my collecting to having one of each sculpt in varying colors. Right now I’ve got a lot of catching up to do, as I’m missing something in Rainbow, Ruby, Emerald Peacock, Black Gold, and Red Fire.

The most I have of any one color is peacock. I have a peacock old warrior, emperor, hatching emperor, mother, and scratcher. Next would be the ema pea’s. I have the IVEP lap and male and a regular ema pea old warrior (he needs some violet 😥 )

I have mostly rubies and peacocks. And then for sculpts scratchers and mothers. I have father, scratcher, mother, lap, oriental sun in ruby (I think I’m missing someone..) and in peacock I have the old warrior, mother, young, scratcher, hatching empress…

I have mostly the browns – male, female, young, hatching, emperor, empress, kinglets (2), fledgling, coiled and OW. In the past I have mainly collected the emperor and fledgling in all colors but with the IVEP I have the rising spec instead of the emperor. When I joined the Forum less than a year ago I had 35 Windstones now I have 95.

I have just about all the peacocks. I’m just missing the OW, which is on it’s way. And the Rising and Sitting Spectrals, which I have in IVEP. And I have the Orientals in Emerald. Since I’m getting/trying to get all the colours in the curl, that’s good enough for me on the other colours. I’m going to start on the Red Fire line next I think.

I don’t collect any particular color or sculpt.
I collect what strikes me!

My goal was to collect at least one sculpt of the 3 main Windstone artists, and I did it!

I like earth tones and I have a tendency towards Jennifer’s pieces since most times then not they are painted in colors I love soooooo much.
But I can’t always afford them so I only have one. (That is when he get here)

I also collect what strikes me. But what my larger goal is, is to get one of every mold (at least, haha), and one of every color. I’m doing pretty well so far!

I really, really want a test paint male griffin, though. But to do that, I have to stop buying everything else! 🙂

I would like to one day have all the black golds, but at the moment I only have four in the color… I have a -very- poor income, so I’ll be waiting awhile yet 😆

😆 I guess most folk here know I’m an old green lover. If it’s been released in old green, I have it yay! If I had my choice, my whole collection except for the spectrals would be in old green. (I prefer those in peacock, which is what mine are 🙄 ) Here is an old pic of my greens, pre-curlie days- and they were grouped there for the pic and are no longer on the swaybacked shelf.

I do have all the Western dragon sculpts except for the SK. They are if not available in old green (or a spectral) in emerald, except for the prototype empea OW and the second scratcher which is jade. Since my finances are very tight, I’m not trying for multiples of a single sculpt (the jade scratcher just sort of fell into my lap). I have and will probably continue to sell any ‘extras’ I may end up with when a sculpt is newly released in a color I prefer (more old green please? 😉 ) And though I appreciate the beauty of the other critters, the dragons are the only ones I love and so collect.

I have helped my mom (who enjoys Windstones) get the kirins and Oriental dragons (all in emerald). Though I don’t like them as well as the Westerns, she understands her dragons are to be willed to me! 😉

(Ooops! 😳 Forgetting the gargoyle egg with eyes my fiance gave me- so there’s one non-dragon piece!)

I love old green and had a young dragon that color but I went and sold it to Dragonmedley. Never should have….I miss him. 😉

I have all the old Greens. Well, so far. Thanks to Ski and Pip. 🙂
I am going for 7 of each color of production. But that is the only color I have all the pieces in. 😉

including the Pearl Gold Oriental…

I hate copies…but I do have a couple in Black Gold, and the Red Gold SK…

I need to probably thin out a few more though…
