I really do like the blue eyes on the BG pieces. That’s why we started collecting them for my stepdaughter.

I already asked her about funky eyes today….trying to get her to do an eye color experiment….LOLI voted for googley eyes.
I could experiment with eye color, maybe a mix of grey and blue or grey and lavender.. though usually the fired glass paint doesn’t mix together well. The colors tend to get muddy, and don’t turn out the color you’d expect.
The problem with our lavender eyes is that it isn’t a clear lavender, as it appears in the photoshopped silver dragon that PT kindly posted for us. Our real lavender eyes are a murky brownish lavender. I think it is sort of an interesting color, in its own weird way, but I sure wish we had a better lavender to use.They may not be bright purple, but they’re still very pretty eyes.

I agree. Bright purple would be awesome but the ones you have are very nice. 😀

I know this will probably get shot right down, but what about an odd eyed dragon? One lavender eye and one grey? Or which ever colors you cant choose between?

My art: featherdust.comIt probably isnt, but is this any more representational of what the lavender eyes are that youre talking about Melody? Besides screen color variances, I tried to muddle it down a bit with deeper tones and brown. If not, no worries!
They are kinda a weird color, like liver.
The problem with what is essentially a grey dragon is that colors always tend to display strangely against grey (one reason never to use true neutral grey in color artwork) so some colors may look weird in these guys.

My art: featherdust.comI voted lavender, because I figured since they used blue on the prototypes, they’d want the production ones to be different, but I realy like the blue ones. Maybe the deep royal blue of the Rainbow dragons…or if the lavender/purple could be perfected

Even with this color lavender… I’d still vote for it after Gray.
