We really do need a new eye color for the dragons. Lavender, green, something!!!!
November 9, 2007 at 3:59 am #634461I never liked the red eyes = they look okay with the emerald color because of the awesmoe contrast, but I would have prefered something else with the gold dragons.

Viola! I used the fledgling dragon because it was the only one I could find multiple dragons of in almost the exact same postioning for different exsisting dragon eye colors β red and straw yellow. Iβm not a fan of the red, but I could totally dig me some yellow eyed Black Gold dragons. And now that Iβve added lavender I could dig those as well!
November 9, 2007 at 4:09 am #634463Oh MAN they look SOOOO much better with either color! Even though the BG are my favorite color, I really hate the blue eyes with them. They take away from the colors⦠plus the blue is not replicated anywhere else on the body so it looks misplaced for them to have blue eyes.
November 9, 2007 at 5:34 am #634464The yellow eyes look really good on black goldβ¦though I personally like the red eyes too!
I really could never understand how they chose BLUE eyes for that colorationβ¦wtf???

Tired of the red eyes on dragons and tired of blue eyes overall (which is odd for me b/c I do love blue as I have them⦠and blue against black is cool but if the BG change color, I vote straw).
Yes, I know thats not what were talking about but I just chimed in.
November 9, 2007 at 3:37 pm #634466Okay, no one kick me since I just spoke against them, but! I think that lavender eyes would have been the best in the black gold. That way you will be drawn to the very subtle amounts of purple on the sculpture. Thatβs a great way to cause the colors to flow in a pleasing way.
This is what I do when I am matting artwork and need to decide on a mat color. I choose the color in the artwork that I want to bring βforwardβ the most and mat in a color that is similar.
To be fair, Windstone didnβt have lavender eyes when they started making black gold dragons though!!

My art: featherdust.comNovember 9, 2007 at 6:42 pm #634467I like them both with maybe a slight (very slight) preference for the yellow.
Thanks pegasi for doing this!
November 9, 2007 at 6:44 pm #634468No problem at all.
November 9, 2007 at 6:46 pm #634469Oh, man, BG with lavender eyes would be awesome!
Personally, the blue eyes are my favorite β Iβm not a big fan of red eyes.
November 9, 2007 at 6:55 pm #634470I think lavender eyes would go nicely!
November 9, 2007 at 7:01 pm #634471Okay everyone talking about BG with lavender eyes made me want to see how they could look so I went back and added lavender eyes to the picture I made earlier. Itβs not exactly the same shade of lavender as is shown on the PYO eye chart and Iβm not sure how it compares with the Moon Griffin, but I have to say βOooh pretty!β
November 9, 2007 at 7:04 pm #634472I only see the red and the yellow?
November 9, 2007 at 7:47 pm #634473Oh wow. Yes yes, Iβd die if they changed the eye color on the BG to lavender. I love how it looks! So much better than the blahblah blue.
November 9, 2007 at 7:48 pm #634474The lavender eyes look beautiful on the BG!! The red or yellow would have sold me on them too. I donβt like the blue eyes on the BG, so I only have the coiled mama (she has tiny eyes lol).
