The darker one is from the first limited batch of 10 that were sold on ebay and the lighter one is the later color of gold she released as the more standard color.

Originally the Gold Lap Dragons came out in the yellow buttery gold but the later ones came out in the darker golds that match the ones they have out now for regular production

I know I still need the em pea and the black gold. In time though they will join the circle. (though I think I just got in trouble someone just looked at them and actually counted…and realised they have multiplied)

You have it backwards DM. They originally came out in the more bronze like gold for the first limited release of 10 and then later in the buttery-gold on ebay.

WOW Kioshii, those photographs are just about good enough to print and frame! My camera isn’t set right either because it has a hard time making the black truly black. Good job! Kep, I love your circle of laps! ^_^
I should specify. The Lap Dragon is not in regular production in Gold yet. It is in regular production for Black Gold and Emerald Peacock, and still available in Ruby. I figured I should make that more clear since other things got mentioned in between what I was replying to and when it got posted. 😳
I am eagerly awaiting the Gold myself. 🙂

Per my understanding because the gold lap and fledge were release limited over ebay they would never become regular production to be sold in stores. They will probably be available only on ebay or someday direct from windstone.

Mmm. I don’t know about “never.” I just know that they aren’t in regular production yet. The other colors are available.
I can’t ask Susie and Karen because they never know what is going to be made ahead of time. Susie always says, “It’s up to the Powers-That-Be” (meaning Melody). And that we probably know on the Forum before Susie herself knows. I ask her about things sometimes and she responds with, “The Scratching Dragon in Emerald Peacocok? What? When? Just a minute, I’ll go ask. Oh, yeah. It’s available now. Geesh!” Or something like that. We could post something in the Ask Melody section, but I just figure that everything will be made clear in due time. 🙂
I kinda hope the lap and flege in gold never become regular production. I paid double for my lap to have him in gold, and I love him dearly! He’d only be half as special. Limited edition stuff changed slightly and brought into production is okay, in my opinion because only a small handful of people have the money to spare to own one, and you get one chance/time frame. Limited production can be bought any time that Windstone has some painted up, so if you dont get one, you can always get one later, usually. Maybe a gold-brown hybrid like the Emperor; would be different enough.
:p I’d probably still buy another one though, if that’s what Windstone decided to do.
On another note….here’s my circle. 🙂 I’m going to get a Ruby and Rainbow this summer -hooray!
