Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.February 12, 2014 at 1:35 pm #908753I’m posting an old school set.I love my browns. All of the Windstones are beautiful but the browns hold a special place in my heart.I wish I could get them all. That won’t happen but I am happy with my little collection.
Nice browns Bodine. 🙂
I hope you can get more.
Thank you 🙂 I will try but some will be impossible, like that gorgeous SK. I am proud to have an original family set.The mother, the male[he’s very special] on the left and the baby by the v:2 hatcher, all stamped w/o pads. They were my first browns.I have an old mother green but can’t seem to get my hands on the male, yet. 🙂

Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.February 12, 2014 at 5:02 pm #908756My first recent adoption arrived yesterday:
I’m always so surprised at the weight of Windstones when I first pick them up — I’ve never owned a big one, either until now.
She sat on the kitchen table near me while I was doing homework for organic chemistry yesterday. 😉
Here is where she will live. I decided to name her Alexstrasza, after my favorite World of Warcraft character (who is, of course, a red dragon), though I will write my own “story” for how she came into being. I put Daenerys next to her since I found it appropriate for at least ONE photo, though once my other dragons and things arrive she probably won’t fit there.
The seller also included her CoA which as some of you suggested, might have a drawing from Melody on it:
I was elated by the drawing and will probably be framing it or something — it was a bonus I was really happy to see.
My bookshelf is from Ikea and is not solid wood. It seems pretty sturdy, but I am wondering how many Windstones it would be safe to have on that shelf. I’ve noticed some of you have glass display cases for your Windstones, but all I have available right now to me is bookshelves. Any thoughts on weight limits? I don’t remember if the instructions mentioned anything about that when we put it together last year.
(Also, sorry if any of my images are too big – I don’t think I saw image limit rules anywhere, but if I overlooked them just let me know and I’ll shrink some of them!)
February 12, 2014 at 5:05 pm #908757how pretty! Love Melody’s little drawings =3 I hope to have a lovely COA someday XD if I can nab a piece that has one
February 12, 2014 at 7:28 pm #908759Hey Bodine! I love the Old Brown color scheme too!
My very first Windstone, which I got second hand on eBay last year, was a Old Brown Mother… and I love my ‘Navara’ to death! I really love the Mother sculpt. Navara has two sisters, a Emerald Peacock Mother (Morg) and a Old Green Mother (Kaiyur). I’ll get some pics together soon, and I’ll post my entire collection (the pieces I have so far that is) … would PYO’s count? 🙂IN SEARCH OF MY NEXT GRAILS:
Black Peacock & Butternut Adult Poads
Kickstarter 'Rainbow Tiger' Bantam Dragon*~*~*~* Ela_Hara: The DragonKeeper *~*~*~*

February 12, 2014 at 8:43 pm #908763Bodine, old brown holds a special place in my heart as well. They were my first western WE dragons, and the only production color I collect–though I am MUCH tempted by the old green. 🙂 I also wish for the Brown SK (a big THANK YOU to Windstone for releasing them)…and the good thing about this forum is that some pieces roll around. 😉
Those flapcats are amazing! I was sorely tempted by Calypso; I’m glad she has a great home with you, dandrusky!

though some use glass displays, many of us who saw what happened to a forum member’s collection after one of the shelves broke won’t be doing that anymore….it’s best to keep the heavy sculpts on the bottom of the unit and or preferably not on glass since it can break….
4 things I'm looking for:
1. Mother Meerkat
2. production color Sitting Young Oriental dragons to be made in more colors besides VF, Brimstone would be awesome!
3. Female Griffin – Siamese with White

All IKEA shelving has the maximum weight load listed online. If you use the shipping weights listed here you should be ok.
I’d still keep the heavier ones on the bottom, just to be safe.
Life is beautiful.
February 12, 2014 at 9:56 pm #908772… would PYO’s count? 🙂
I count mine. Even the unfinished ones. 🙂

Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.February 12, 2014 at 10:29 pm #908775Thanks for the feedback on the shelving. It looks like the max on each shelf is 22 pounds, so I’ll be careful.
Those are some gorgeous flap cats. I keep telling myself I’ll only focus on dragons, but then I started looking at griffins last week, and now flap cats have me curious.
