Beautiful collection Stephanie; I particularly like your baby unicorn! Nice work with your lightbox too – lovely photos! 🙂
June 5, 2014 at 1:09 am #913609Thanks! I’m thrilled with how well the lightbox worked out. The colors are so true to real life! 😀

I was thinking I’d make a light box. Was is difficult?

Not at all! I used this link: http://www.wikihow.com/Create-an-Inexpensive-Photography-Lightbox
They use cloth, I used two sheets of tissue paper. The hardest part was getting the paper inside the box to lay how I wanted it to lay, and not get all crinkled and wrinkly. I think if I did it again I’d do the inside paper before I covered the holes in the sides. Then I wouldn’t have been worried about cutting the wrong piece of tissue paper. 🙂
I also lit it from all three sides.

Thanks! I’ll give it a shot. Any special light bulbs?

Nope. For the sides I took desk lamps, pulled off their shades and leaned them on things so the bulb was pointed at the box, and for the top part I stole my husband’s Ott-Lite and just had it shine down. The Ott-Lite probably helped (full spectrum) but what really makes a difference is the tissue paper or cloth. It diffuses the light so the entire box is uniform and bright. 🙂

Thank you! Good luck! Can’t wait to see your pictures if you make one!
June 5, 2014 at 3:53 am #913623I think I need some poads…..
Oh my gosh, what color is that dragon on top? He is FABULOUS.
June 5, 2014 at 6:24 am #913627Isn’t that a pretty pyo dragon? That is by Grayfire Artz on here. I have a rainbow coloured phoenix painted by her. She and her sister, KoishiiKitty paint lots of nice colour schemes and do commissions as well. Also nice pictures Stephanie! You have one of my favourite unicorns!
Looking for rainbow or pink & teal grab bags!

Yes – that is a PYO I commissioned through an eBay auction. That commission was actually what led me to this website and forum and was my first Windstone dragon. 🙂 Grayfire Artz did a fabulous job and was a pleasure to work with.
June 16, 2014 at 8:26 pm #914238These are terrible pictures because I am about to head out for a Father’s Day celebration with my family, but I got this guy in the mail today!
He is absolutely gorgeous. I am still flummoxed as to how I got him for such a good price, but I am also very grateful! He is my last splurge for the next few months as I will be temporarily out of a job! Luckily I was able to sell a piece just in time to get this beauty 🙂
I searched him all over and I could not find any of the washed out details that were mentioned – not that I think they don’t exist, I’m sure they do! They are just invisible to me 😀
Anyway, here he is in the sun and in the shade! Hopefully I will have more time in a few days to take some better pics of him, because my gosh he deserves them.
Commission spots are currently closed! Please message me for details.
Please visit My Webpage to see my art and PYO's that I've done in the past!June 17, 2014 at 5:21 pm #914263He’s a handsome fella, Hannah. Nice catch.

June 17, 2014 at 10:12 pm #914273I maaay have to look them up once I’ve had a few months to build up some cash for a commission, because it does look super fantastic. Thanks for the name drop!

Beautiful dragon. Is that the green bayou #2 from eBay?
