Glad there was no damage…that would have freaked me out.

It was a peacock oriental dragon. There is a link around here somewhere from back in the day. Found it!!
Oh yeah. I remember that.
November 5, 2007 at 10:56 pm #633147I just got one shipped to me in a shoe box from CAN! 😯 Barely any peanuts and one layer of bubble wrap. AMAZED it didnt break! No communication from seller; debating on what kind of FB to leave.
Scary.

😯 You were lucky! Well you could say the transaction went well but seller does not communicate well or hard to reach…. something like that.November 5, 2007 at 11:14 pm #633149She also said NO flaws and there are pinat scuffs. I can fix them but between the fact she didnt disclose that, the horrid shipping and packaging, the fact she didnt leave me feedback though I paid right away AND zero coummunication- I am not sure what to leave her for feedback. Definitely not + so debating between negative or neutral. I dont like doing negative (never have) and since the piece didnt break, I’ll probably do Neutral with explanation.
November 5, 2007 at 11:18 pm #633150Oh, you won the black baby unicorn didn’t you. If I remembered I would have warned you. I did contact the seller but, not over the box. It took the person 3 days to get me a shipping quote. 🙄
I’m so happy you got the baby in one piece.

That is what I would do and maybe then she might give better service in the future…Did she leave you feedback yet? Some sellers take it very badly when you don’t leave feedback or leave neutral feedback.
November 5, 2007 at 11:38 pm #633152Several ppl use my eBay account (only close family; it’s at 100% so weve always been fine). My sister got me a few pieces recently (one is for my mom) and though the sellers were paid immediately and weeks ago, no one has left feedback.
Yes, RD, Nicole got me the baby. I just left the non-communicative seller neutral feedback. She never left feedback for my account either though she has been reminded. Her auction said she was going to India end of October. Still, shipping in shoeboxes?! Plus, baby is scuffed and not flawless like auction said. Luckily I can fix it but some other collectors may not.
If you look at her feedback, her total score is misleading. Her feedback is scary actually if you look at her overall FB. Lots of negative FB that doesnt seem to reflect in her score and I cant find it to read it either. Her profile says there hasnt been any mutual withdrawls of FB either, so I dont understand.
I do NOT recommend this seller and will never do business with again (and have spread to word to ppl using my account- which is only a couple).
QUESTION: if you receive an item and you are statisfied with it, but the seller never left you feedback for payments made immediately, do you feel comfortable leaving them feedback? I mean why should they get to increase their star number and I get shafted when I paid right away? I wont leave feedback for sellers that dont leave me FB… except if I have to do a neutral or negative. And today was the first time I ever left anything other than a positive. If she slams my FB because I left her a deserved neutral mark, Im gonna be pissed.
November 5, 2007 at 11:40 pm #633153One thing I’ve taken to doing is when I leave feedback for a seller I contact them letting them no and then leave a gentle reminder to leave feedback in return. Since I started doing it I’ve only had one instance where the seller still didn’t leave feedback.

Done something very similar. Contacted seller saying Im very pleased with item and would like to leave them +FB (so they even know it’s going to be good), but cant do so until they leave me FB , reminding them I paid immeidately, etc., and they still dont leave me feedback. Hence- they dont get +FB from me. Done.

Alot of sellers leave feedback only after you have done so for the same reasons as you. It’s sometime a chance to take. You could email the seller and tell he that you intend to leave her neutral feedback with an explaination and then wait for her to contact you if she still ignores you for 3 to 7 days then go ahead with what you feel is right. 😉
November 6, 2007 at 2:35 am #633156I don’t leave feedback on items I sell until after I get feedback from the buyer first. I’ve had people threaten to give me negative feedback because the clothes they bought from me didn’t fit even though I provided measurements. They hadn’t measured themselves and just took a guess, then wanted to punish me for it. Because they hadn’t received feedback yet, they contacted me first, and I was able to explain how that situation was not my fault. So I just don’t give feedback until I get it first.
November 6, 2007 at 2:57 am #633157I don’t leave feedback until I make sure it is what I want. But I am almost always happy with what I get. 😀 If it’s clothes, then I bought it, if it’s soemthing else, then make sure it works. etc. But the clothes jsut go to sale if they don’t fit 🙂
November 6, 2007 at 5:46 am #633158Someone has to go first. In my opinion and experience, once the seller is paid, everything else is out of their control. I believe they should leave feedback since the buyer has done all they can do (ie. paid for the item). If everyone is scared someone is going to slap them with a negative feedback, then hardly anyone would give anyone feedback. Again, someone has to go first. Give MY situations here, I dont believe I should leave any feedback for someone who hasnt bothered to respond to any of my communication even when Im telling them I want to leave them positive FB. If they cant do me the same courtesy, they should get the boost either.
As a seller, once someone has paid me, I leave them feedback because they buyer has done all they can do. Im confident in what Im selling/packing, etc (not saying that anyone else here is not as honest).
As for the one who shipped in a shoebox with zero communication all around, I left her neutral feedback. That way it doesnt drag her score down but it does alert others to my experience with poor packing and lack of contact. For every other seller that just ignores our communication, they dont get feedback unless they leave it for my account.
November 6, 2007 at 4:29 pm #633159I don’t agree with your comment about once the buyer has paid, they’ve done all they can do. I’ve been selling on Ebay since 1999, and I’ve heard some pretty picky things people give negative feedback for: didn’t fit even though measurements were provided, color wasn’t the same in the photo even though the description explained that they shouldn’t trust the photo for color (we all know different monitors show the same photo in slightly different hues), slow shipping from the post office even though I mailed it the next day, etc. People want to hold the seller responsible for every little thing.
If they’ve already received feedback from me, they have no reason to contact me to make things right, or even to discuss the situation with them. I have 100% feedback with over 2,000 posts. I don’t want to get a negative because the post office lost the package for three weeks and then finally delivered it (and the buyer never contacted me). If I wait to give them feedback until they’ve given me feedback or contacted me about something, then at least I get a chance to fix a problem first.
Yes, the buyer has already paid, but that doesn’t mean they are done. They aren’t done until they’ve received the item and give the seller feedback or contacted the seller with a problem and get it resolved. The seller isn’t done until they know that the item got there safely and the buyer is happy with it, one way or another.
In your situation, PT, I think leaving neutral feedback was the right thing to do. You’ve tried to contact the seller and got no response. At this point, you’ve done all you can do.
