Now Iβve seen everything. This seller is so lucky that this pegasus arrived intact. It was shipped in a shoebox! No a heavy duty workboot shoebox, a womans pump kind of shoebox. Inside was two pieces of bubblewrap! Nothing more.
All this and not one chip, other than the nose, and I canβt say for sure if the nose is anymore chipped than it was in the auction! Maybe pictures later. Iβm soooo surprised.

November 1, 2007 at 1:54 am #633133You were very lucky to get it intact. When I purchase Windstone or pieces that are very easy to brake I usualy send the seller the link for the Windstone Packing Tutorial and ask them to view it. Ever since then my packages are well pakaged.
The following is an example of what I sent one of the seller (purchase was for two βcriticsβ:Hi, Iβm sorry to ask you this but could you please read this packing tutorial, Please donβt take it wrong, itβs just that I have been having so much bad luck with the Windstones I purchase lately. They always arrive broken because they were not packaged properly. That does not mean that you will do the same but as a precaution It would be a good idea if you could view this page:
http://bladespark.topcities.com/wpacking.html
I would like each βCriticβ to be boxed seperatly then the two boxes put together in a bigger box with pading. That is called βDouble-Box Shipping Methodβ
Please package carefuly with lots of padding, I worked at a post office and know firsthand how careless they can be. They have a bad habit of throwing and slaping things down. Do NOT use Purlator or FedX for shipping service. Regular Canada Post will do. Like I said before please donβt take this wrong.
Thank you
NatalieThe seller was not offended by it and everything went well.
November 1, 2007 at 1:58 am #633134Thatβs a really good idea, BDW. I canβt believe that poor pegasus came in one piece!
November 1, 2007 at 6:27 am #633135I read the headline and thought, Oh no, another casualty.
Iβm glad it wasnβt broken, Romeo!November 1, 2007 at 6:57 am #633136Thats nothing. I had one that came in a cola box.
It was demolished and I gave it to Nam. There are all kinds out there. I am glad it made it to you safe
November 1, 2007 at 7:04 am #633137A cola box? What sculpt was it?

It was a peacock oriental dragon. There is a link around here somewhere from back in the day. Found it!!
November 1, 2007 at 12:32 pm #633140That poor oriental. Yes I think a cola box is worse than a shoebox.
I wonder what people are thinking when they do things like this?

They must not be thinking at all. I have had one shipped in a padded envelope, too.
I am glad yours survived. Its hard to look into those big brown eyes and contemplate sending it back or tossing it out.
November 1, 2007 at 12:52 pm #633142Geez..thatβs awful Ski! Iβm soo glad yours made it intact Romeodanny, shoebox and all!
November 1, 2007 at 5:13 pm #633143Iβm glad your Pegasus arrived intact. Nothing worse than receiving a small box thatβs supposed to contain the same size Windstone: -/ I also include a link to the packing tutorial when I contact sellers. I think itβs helped avoid a couple of disasters for me.
November 1, 2007 at 5:53 pm #633144Well we just created Windstone Footwear!!
