I have found that most of the time when you see crazy shipping amounts like this, it’s a simple mistake. When I’ve noticed it I’ve contacted the seller and 9 times out of 10 they are surprised and will correct it. 🙂

Or I’ve noticed people who might list something as a low bid or starting price will compensate that with a higher shipping cost. There’s a Scratching I just saw on Ebay who’s bid price is $12 something and the shipping is like $195?! Yeah…

Holy doodle! That has to be a typo or something. It’s UPS Worldwide Saver? lol. Is it coming from Saturn?

My thoughts exactly because that shipping charge is out of this world!!!!! 😆

Rather. It doesn’t take half that to ship a curlie to me across the ocean. 😆

I dunno but the seller has a few pieces up and they all have some crazy shipping quotes.

I was looking at something on eBay a couple of weeks ago (a very small object) and the shipping was $20 and the item $35. I emailed the seller asking why the shipping was so high on something that didn’t even weigh a lb. The answer I got was – seller was not making anything on the item but was trying to make up for it on the shipping costs. She was a new seller and somebody told her that’s the way it was done.

Shipping gouging is against Ebay rules. You should ask the seller and if they refuse to fix it, report it.

When I had first started selling on Ebay I would let Ebay calculate the shipping and the charges would end up super high. That looks like what is going on. People who pad shipping charges normally use even numbers (not use cents).
