Love the color scheme for Grackle, but i think i’d rather wait for an emperor or old warrior… or maybe even a scratcher. Good luck to all who enter! 😀

I think this color combo would be GORGEOUS on production dragons…granted similar to Black Gold, but maybe once its retired? Call it Black Forest 🙂

September 29, 2010 at 7:48 pm #827450This would be a wicked production color and yes, Black Forest is a great name! Even better, when it is sitting on my headboard and I get to call it The Black Forest Grackle, LOL!
Really really nice accidental coloration…Melody a few more accidents happening on an Old Warrior shelf would make for a nice CHRISTMAS…just a thought.

Exactly. Trademarking is all about whether the names would create confusion with similar products.

Black forest ham? Also, I believe there is a mountain range in Germany called Black Forest. I wouldn’t think that you could trademark that name, seeing as how much it’s been used.

yeah, the cake, the ham, the clocks and several other things were named that because they came from that region in Germany..
but some of those names have been trademarked by the companies using them to describe there products now, it could probably be used, but probably with a disclaimer that would be a big hassle in itself
