My brother is starting an xbox360 from $10US.
Wonder why it’s so low? Because you have to ship it to Microsoft to fix it. Or fix it yourself. It’s had the red ring of death, which is basically that the system overheated to the point that a chip connection got brittle and broke. He bought himself a new one, and wants to get rid of the old one. The repair is covered by Microsoft (Xbox) and they will cover shipping to and from as well. You just got to get a shipping label for them. I will include contact instructions with the Xbox when it’s sold.
So if someone wants to try and fix it, or send it to microsoft to fix, then I’m selling it. Otherwise it goes on Evilbay.
Danke for your interest!
We take Paypal, or money order.
I will be ending this next Friday (the 23rd of January) at 8PM Mountain Time.
Please PM if you want to bid!
Current bid is $60$10 more to a free controller! 😀
And if you want to know why I don’t fix it myself and then sell it, it would take forever for me to mail it to them, have them fix it, have them mail it back to me, and then me sell it, and my brother just wants whatever he can get for it. And it’s a free repair so…. it’s not a big deal or anything, right? 🙂
Update 3 today…. he is going to include the cooling station with the Xbox360 to whomever purchases.
January 3, 2009 at 7:00 am #748679Why does it costs so much to ship it to Microsoft? Is that the shipping fee or the fee that MS charges to fix it?
January 17, 2009 at 4:51 am #748680Ok my brother fails at checking stuff. The repair for this particular problem is free. Shipping included. I am changing the original post now…. I need to not just take him at his word. 🙄
Is up for offers until next Friday (the 23rd).
Thanks
January 17, 2009 at 5:17 am #748681hmm.. I know several people that have had that problem.. there’s a whole forum somewhere for it.. one guy has had to get 4 new ones because of the problem…
even though it’d be a pain I’d buy it… any offers yet?
January 17, 2009 at 5:50 pm #748682Yea no kidding. I hear it’s a huge pain in the butt too, but for $10 how could you go wrong!
