On the white secret keeper auction it is mentioned how they will eventually be put into prodcution so I wanted to ask how that is coming along? Are you still having problems doing a hollow core?

Another question, it mentions that there are only a few of the white SKs that will be going on ebay I was wondering how many that might be?
I was thinking of auctioning three. This color isn’t a limited edition however, so we have the option of making more, and maybe making them in limited production at a set price in the future. That would be the hollow core version though. We can’t cast many of these solid ones. We have only about ten castings now that I can paint.
We haven’t been successful with the hollow core methods we have tried so far, but we haven’t tried my method yet. If that doesn’t work, then the likelihood of production Secret Keepers looks dim.

Of course you’ve tryed to build an interior plug-mold to displace material in the casting process to make a hollow. But I can’t understand why this isn’t working. But I must admit I’ve never tryed it with a “Soft” mold. All that creative power held at bay by a techno-glitch; mind boggeling indead.
I wish I could help. But my hard molding experience probably wouldn’t translate into your process.
Can gypsom be roto-molded? Yes of course, but in these molds? A mighty armiture would be needed and lots of experimentation, as to layer cure time, cold molded bonding, and all. a new material,(not resin!)
Can a secondary plug be built hollow, inserted into the mold and then be filled to complete the casting and pick up the skin details? Just thinking aloud,
    as it were.

14% sales tax is ridiculous! Germany and France are even worse. Switzerland “only” has 7.6%, but of course that doesn’t apply to Windstones or it’d add up too.

I would not mind paying taxes if the money was going to a worthy cause or we could at least see where it gets used for good

What are you shocked at, our “low” sales tax or our neighbors’ 19%+? 😆

try 14% up here in Nova Scotia, Canada. thats a extra $420.00 which I could use to buy even more windstones instead..
Plus then u have to put on the conversion rate frous to Cdn as well.. so $3000 US = $ 3,548.69 Cdn +420.00 for tax = $4000 for us poor canadians..

          😥 😥 😥

Nope not us poor canadians, just you over there, I however live in alberta with a sales tax of just 6%, the GST, soon to be 5%. Just wnated to add that thanks mostly to Ralph, and Fort Mac, and the OilSands we are the only debt free province in Canada. Now just to see if the new guy can screw it up.

Our sales tax in Ontario used to be 15%, they lowered it to 14%. But, I only used to pay 7% on customs they raised that in October or November to 14%. I liked it much better when it was 7%. (And really honestly 1% doesn’t make that big a difference.)

7.5% doesn’t surprise me, becasue IL is that way. If I go across the big Miss, to IA it is only 6.5% But 14 and 19% OUCH! 😮

Well, compared to our neighbors I feel blessed to have a such a low sales tax, even though by principle I have an aversion to giving the government a lot of money because for every buck you give ’em they spend five. The downside of our sales tax compared to the States’ is that it’s hidden – already in the price tag when you buy. I like the States’ system better where you see how much the retailers gets and how much goes to the State.

when I was in England…you never noticed the tax because it’s already included in things…

you can fill out the papers to get it back if you live here….but I only did that on one thing…I didn’t think the rest was really worth it…

the only thing I can say about taxes right now is I should have all my paperwork soon so I can get my return fillled out and filed to get my money back. I’m missing 2 pieces still and I think that is strange this late in the year

I’ve noticed that some places seem to be slow mailing out tax related pieces this year. I have yet to get the interest paid statments from my student loan or from the bank account my husband and I have. Until those come I can’t do a thing.

I just called the company for my 2nd moprtgage and they had a recording saying they would be mailing out the paperwork by the end of the January but no date was given
