I need to put in my will to first try and sell my collection to the forum members. No one I kown would take care or want my collection. If I died today my fiance might keep the female tiger griffin cuz he loves her but other than that I would want the true collectors to have a chance.
I do save all my boxes. I keep them at my moms so I dont have to see them 😆
June 16, 2009 at 11:22 pm #770188I can only hope I will raise one of my future children in the ways of an uber dork, raising them on the classics: labyrinth, dark crystal, willow, training them in the ways of d&d and other fantasy role playng games. When they have proven themselves worthy-Then he or she shall inherit my fantasy kingdom…..if not I shall travel the gaming store circuit in my later years and find a fantasy loving fosterling to inherit them. It has a fairy tale sort of feel to it…find a worthy heir to the throne :)…I like it!!
👿 either that or build a mausoleum and be buried with them like a pharoh!!!

It could be a good idea. ^^
June 16, 2009 at 11:57 pm #770190Yes I agree! And I would have 2 Egyptian Griffins guarding me!
June 17, 2009 at 9:30 am #770191You seem “a little” obsessed by Egyptian griffins.
But, what do you mean by Egyptian Griffins ?June 17, 2009 at 2:30 pm #770192I have moved several times and some of my boxes were damaged so badly that they had to be thrown out. I also lost some to a roof leak when I lived in Florida. The box and insert was ruined by the water. There was mold growing on some of them. So those also went the way of the trash can. Sometimes things happen and the boxes can’t be saved 😥 But I have the pieces and that’s the really important part to me. 😀
Looking for Blue Fawn Baby Kirin
Sanguine Oriental Test Paints, kinglet
Sun Dragon Koi #3June 17, 2009 at 3:57 pm #770193I have boxes for everything, but some of them came from ebay and I don’t have original boxes. But everyone has a nice secure peanut/bubble wrap filled box to snuggle into on moving days. Those darn boxes take up almost and entire 6ft by 9 ft room! And I just keep adding more. 😕
June 18, 2009 at 2:01 am #770194When I first started collecting Windstones I threw away the boxes because I didn’t know any better; I keep them now.
June 18, 2009 at 4:00 am #770195I also save all my boxes, but I do not have boxes for everything. I have bought pieces over the phone from stores all over the country, and lots of them come without boxes. Some stores say they do not have room and some are surprised anyone would want the box anyway. 😡 I even ran across a store that saved the bottom halves of the boxes but threw out the tops. No space, they said! Some stores also remove tags because they get in the way. It seems like they could just tuck them under the piece, but they are obviously in the business of selling and do not realize that collectors want them.

I’m only interested by Dragons in mint condition and if possible with box and tag.
I’m interested first by the hatching impress in white. The curled Dragons are at the end of my wishlist.
Leigha had some white dragons for sale. You might want to see if any are still available.

Yes, I know but there are not in mint condition and not all are with boxes and tags, so I’m not interested. I discovered the white Dragons because of her topic.
Thank you for the suggestion anyway.June 18, 2009 at 3:09 pm #770198Mint white dragons with tag and box? Good luck! They exist, but are fewer and fewer.

Mint before all, without tags and boxes it’s not a problem after all. But buy a white Dragon which is not mint without tag and box, no way. That’s what I said:

😉
June 18, 2009 at 6:35 pm #770200I have a White Male and White Mother new in their boxes, with tags, if anyone is interested. I also have a new Coiled White in its box. Can’t remember if it is the Male or Mother. If anyone is interested, I will find it and check.

Thank for the info. Ouch, the price is high compare to others hatching Dragons and there are not the original boxes…

First what is a hatching impress?? Do you mean a hatching Empress??
I just looked and after some searching I fould the Kinglet and Emperor but no Empress
Why is she SO hard to find especially in Mint condition?
It took me FOREVER to get mine after I FINALLY decided to add her to my collection!!
I had a VERY HORRIBLE experience with a friend of a Forum member saying hers was mint then getting her single boxes wrapped in Newspaper (the horror!!) she was even in a ziploc bag with no dust and a missinig horn and the seller insisted she was MINT. After a couple months of no response I have to send her to Kyrin to rpr and sell in hopes to get enough money to pay for a PYO she is holding for me.
Sorry to vent but I had to!! This brought up too many bad memories -
