Peridot! Peridot! Peridot!
I second this!
Also, still squeaking for BANANA DRAGONS! ^^ *goes off singing “I’m a banana, I’m a banana, I’m a banana…”*
October 7, 2013 at 4:51 pm #903887Wouldn’t peridot be close the the original green? I agree I love the twilight scheme and the Ash Blue one! I hope to see darker blue either way and turquoise would be fabulous!
No, no! I think peridot would be a light green, sort of a pastel grassy colour. It would look really great beside the pastelly purple, pink and aquamarine dragons! 😀

Excellent!

This is what the Old Browns remind me of …. leather and the Southwestern US with their blue eyes and some scales in blue, green, etc. But I think that a combination of blue, green and/or red Turquoise would make a great color scheme. It would remind me of Native American Indian jewelry – what do you think?

There seems to be many people that love the turquoise blues & greens, coral reds and sand brown. I know what you mean about the old browns. I saw one on ebay that looked like it was studded with turqoise. Just beautiful. I was imagining a dragon predominantly colored in turqoise blue with accents in greens, terra cotta. Didn’t know if Melody or any of the other artists have experimented with those southwestern colors in any of the test paints. I’m fairly new to collecting Windstones (nearly a year), and still learning about some of the older pieces.

YES! And throw in a little red coral and gold accents, and you would have a perfect Turquiose/Southwestern themed color scheme! 🙂

Have you ever seen a “pinfire opal”? wow
Just googled it, and oh..my..goodness! It’s gorgeous! I’ve always said if I ever get my hands on an engagement ring, I want an opal stone! But I’ll take a dragon, or even a pebble animal *wink wink*!
I love the pinfire Opal too! I can see how that would be a very difficult color to duplicate. I can try playing around with painting techniques on a PYO to see If I can match it. Heaven knows I have lots of different media to experiment with. I would think it would not be a good candidate for production though. Possibly a great special ebay piece?
