Congrats on your sales, Leigha. Good luck with the rest.

thanks 🙂 haven’t decided if I’m going to sell anything else yet besides my coiled peacock male dragon (which no one seems to be interested in in the trade section)

Well, the peacock coiled males are fairly common…

yeah, I know, but I figured someone might want one =

    Oh well

I kinda want a peacock coiled male, but again, I really shouldn’t be spending money even though I have some in my account. I need to pay things back, and I’m ordering another shipment of chainmaille soon (more to finish current personal projects, rather then to sell, since no one wants to buy).

Ordering chainmaille? The rings or pieces?

I need to find someone to build me a mandril…

Rings! I weave the chainmaille but no one wants to buy my pieces (since I can’t cut them myself, I have to buy precut and it’s more expensive).

If you want I could try and see what a mandril is and see if I could make one for you… for some reason I can’t get the name to match to a picture in my head.

      (yes I am eternally hopeful)

The mandril I had borrowed was a big box affair with rods of various sizes… Everything from itty-bitty for jewelry to large rods for the 14 to 18 gauge wire for armor… I’ll see if I can find a pic somewhere. I know I have to have one…

The two pieces I have that are my pride and joy are of 3 gauge industrial copper grounding wire… One of these days I’m gonna get skinny enough I can wear the belt again. The guy who did it was an ex-boyfriend, and I think he hates to this day that I still have it… lol

And I don’t know about you, but I’ve found that electrician’s end nippers work wonderfully for cutting rings… And actually I do the score/break routine, because it gives a cleaner cut to close. I do know some guys that have gotten industrious and actually do the rivet/weld, but GACK!!!!

If you want, pm me and we can chat chainmaille more!!

We now return this thread to it’s original programming… beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep….
