To be fair…I don’t think DM meant any harm. He was just really excited to have won the white SK and didn’t realize that he was being kind of repetitive. 🙂
I decided to, but I refreshed one last time before I hit the button, and DM’s last bid bumped it up above what I had, so I didn’t actually submit the bid because the auction had gone higher than what I had to spend.
I would have, though. *shrugs* It’s not a huge deal, or I would have said something earlier.
Maybe its just as well…this current SK might well go for less since its not the first one…Now again we have the problem of the new e-bay bidder thing. I had no way of knowing who else was in the running for the SK. I was actually expecting to get outbid by someone at the last second. After learning about all the sniping equipment I was surprised to win it. I think it was more shock then anything.
Sorry I’m confused. I won the SK at home alone and was very excited so figuring that you guys where family I posted it here. I’m sorry if I mentioned it too much. Are you upset because I out bid you?? I was watching this dragon from the second it posted and was the high bidder until 1/2 an hour before it ended. I hope you are not upset with me because I was willing to pay more?? We have all stated it’s all fair in Love and E-bay.
I was very quiet about this item for the entire week so maybe my excitment just exploded because like most here I never thought I would be able to bring a SK homeDM I didn’t see your posts as gloating and I think it’s perfectly understandable to be a little repetitive when you are really excited about something! I mean, if you kept this up a week from now it might seem a bit suspicious but the day after you bought it seems okay to me, I mean we are here to talk about Windstones so to me it seems counter-intuitive to expect people to worry about posting too much about a Windstone subject.
And to those who saw DM’s posts as gloating, I understand being sensitive about the topic and not wanting to read about the “one that got away”, so to speak, but I think it’s unfair to say DM’s posts are gloating. Emotional tone is difficult to establish on any forum and I personally think that assuming good faith (ie pure motives) about your fellow forum members unless proven otherwise will make your time on this forum a great deal less irritating or upsetting. That’s just my take on forums.
Wow. I had alot to read. I dont think anyone was upset about getting outbid, just about the fact that they have to hear about it under every topic. Under your topic, gloat away, but you dont have to turn every topic into one about your white SK. Its like this: “Oh, that is a very nice PYO, it would look really nice next to my white SK that I just won today” or “I think layaway is a great idea. I just wish I could layaway the white SK that I just won.” See? Thats whats happening.

Exactly. *nodnods* I’m not upset, really. Just… getting tired of hearing about it, that’s all. Normally topics wander off topic all different directions, rather than wandering off topic to the exact same thing every time.
Anyhow, I’m sure DM won’t do it again, so it’s not a big deal.

Or it might go for more, since it’s not ending at midnight, so more people will be awake and bidding when it ends. Who knows? If there are only three of them, then the next will be the last one for a long time until they can do another batch, after all.
I wish I knew what other SK colors might be coming out soon, it would make deciding how much to bid easier.

Mm-hmm. Ddvm won the second to the last BEP SK, mentioned she was excited, got congratulated, and that was that. She didn’t go on about it forever.

That’s true, of course…but if it goes for more, it wouldn’t make any difference as far as you’re concerned, would it? I thought the previous auction already went beyond what you wanted to bid?

I know what you mean. I’m only planning to get one SK so I want it to be my favorite color…but the way things are now, there’s no way to be sure of that…
Well, the SK I really want is the Violet Flame, but my understanding was that that one was one of a kind, there wouldn’t be any others.
So… color-wise one is pretty much as good as another. Though some I prefer to others. I like these white ones better than the BEP ones, for some reason, although I love the BEP on the Old Warrior. Dunno.

True…if you wanted Violet Flame you’d have to wait until they were able to make the hollow core production version. My favorite SK color so far has been the peacock emerald, but I like gold and copper mauve a lot too.

I like the white SK better than the BEP SK also. But I also like the white OW a lot more than the white SK, and I don’t like the white SK enough to buy one. More confirmation that the same color can look more or less appealing on different sculpts.
