I think Frozen was wondering if we were going to hear about the white SK as much as we’ve heard about the green fledgling. That’s all.
you heard about the green fledgie because we did not know if they where going to be made or not. The White SK is a done deal and on her way to my house soon so I’m done there too. I should have my taxes soon so I could just buy all the white SK’s and then everyone would really HATE me!! Including my checking account!!
No one even knew I was the one bidding on the SK until it was revealed at the endDM, I’ve been meaning to ask you for awhile but kept forgetting — why don’t you decrease the amount of withholding from your paycheck appropriately so that you don’t end up with a huge tax refund?
I always do that because I don’t want to give the government an interest free loan all year… 🙂

I would HATE to ever owe the government ANYTHING. If you ever owe them you better pay it ASAP or the late fees will mulitply very quickly. I have heard of people losing their houses due to IRS bills and I’m NEVER going to have that happen to me. I have been able to survive on what is left after my government “donations” so far until I lost my night time differential in July and I held on until November so I did pretty well.I started needing to clain exempt for the last few checks so I’m a little nervous about that right now. I also like getting a big check back knowing it’s all for ME!!

Some people I know also look at it that way, I guess its all personal preference.But I prefer to invest that money during the year rather than let the government hold onto it. I always arrange my exemptions so that they withhold a little less than the total taxes due, just to make sure I don’t get a refund (i.e., I always owe the IRS a small amount each year).
We like you, DM. But… you outbid me on that SK. It IS kind of rude to rub it in my face. One topic going “Wow, I got her” is fine, but you’re mentioning her in every single topic you post in, just about.
If a few of us saying so really upsets you that much, maybe you should leave.
Personally you’re welcome to stay. I don’t hate you or want you to go. I just kind of wish you’d quit rubbing my nose in the fact that I had $50 too little to buy that SK.
Actually, I also didn’t know that you had bid on the white SK. I thought you mentioned in the other thread that you decided not to bid?
To be fair…I don’t think DM meant any harm. He was just really excited to have won the white SK and didn’t realize that he was being kind of repetitive. 🙂

I decided to, but I refreshed one last time before I hit the button, and DM’s last bid bumped it up above what I had, so I didn’t actually submit the bid because the auction had gone higher than what I had to spend.
I would have, though. *shrugs* It’s not a huge deal, or I would have said something earlier.
