Rubies are retired

I just got a new order form from Windstone that lists Rubies as retired as of September, 2007. Just thought you should know.

I have the ones I absolutely had to have….and I am not suprised since they haven’t made any new ones on the Oriental, Old Warrior, Fledgie….etc…

Same here 🙂 My Ruby Oriental Sun. I don’t really like the ruby coloration though anyway… but the store here still has a ton of Rubies if I ever get the urge XD

I wonder if this means they’ve picked the replacement color. Red gold, or violet flame, or… I can’t remember the other candidates 😆

Well I got all but 1 I wanted to get on layaway. The only one I need to find is the Scratcher. Astral has one but I don’t know if they take Paypal. Anyone know if they do?

The original Russett was one too, but did not seem too poopular (yes I spelled it that way on purpose this time, think I Love Lucy)

Melody has said many times that Windstone was going to make the Curlies in EVERY production color. I hope that will include Ruby and the “mistake” Jade color one day!!

Im not as big a dragon collector as I am of other Wnidstones, however, that damn sparkle jump has bitten me and I feel like if I know theyre retired now, I have to at least try for something affordable. I dont have any Fledgies, so maybe I should try for one on eBay. However, being that Im moving on Monday (and some are up on eBay now), my shipping and billing (and PP and eBay) addresses on file everywhere (including here) conflict so I cant use PP.

*sigh*- hope they continue to pop up on eBay (good XMas color) and once Im settled I can get one for a decent price. Or maybe find one still in a store that doesnt over charge. How much did the original Ruby Fledges sell for here? Too lazy too look.
