I actually bought a Roomba, IRobot Vacuum cleaner. He is pretty neat. He cleans, goes around things and goes back to his docking base.
I have 3 Cats and 11, maybe 12 Minpins (That is sooo sad, I actually lost count), so pet hair is a problem.
I use my swiffer vac all the time and I actually have a Dyson Pet vacuum. The Dyson is great for the carpet…can NOT beat it. But the tile, never seems to stay clean. I was tired of passing the Swiffer Vac around everyday, so we will see what the little robot does.
The cats HATE it. They have tried to kill it several times, just this evening.
The husband is scared it will get loose and go wild. Very suspicious since I showed him, it can find its own charger base and park itself…
Anyone have one of these? Comments?
December 13, 2007 at 4:15 am #493628December 13, 2007 at 4:36 am #646681I’ve wanted one, but was afraid it wouldn’t do a good job. Now there is a Scooba. It washes the floor. I really need one of those. I hate mopping!
Let us know how it does!
December 13, 2007 at 5:53 am #646682Someone bought one as a gift for our house, but in my experience, I’ve found it more of a hinderance than a helper. Now I just use a Swivel Sweeper instead, which I love. I’m sure the Roomba can be really effective depending on the household, but with our pets, the amount of dwellers constantly causing traffic, and all our clutter, the Swivel ended up being a better tool for us.
Hmmm… I wonder what my little nephew would think of it…. Maybe it will scare him 😈

December 13, 2007 at 7:19 am #646683Ther is someone in Canada who has hacked the Roomba and programmed them tho make spirographs and sing 😀 😯 😯 He also sells a ‘how to hack roomba’ book
According to our dog, the vaccuum is evil and must be pounced and barked at . And so is the leaf blower and the lawn mower. Nothing like having the dog go nuts in the house while we, or the neighbors mow the lawn 🙄
December 13, 2007 at 10:26 am #646684I dont have one but if I did, Moocah would probably kill it.
December 13, 2007 at 1:30 pm #646685Ah! The eternal fight of dogs vs. machines! Whoever wins will take over the world.

December 13, 2007 at 7:37 pm #646687My brother has both the roomba and scubba. He loves both of them since they can get under the couches and everything. He has a big dog so dog hair is a problem at his house too.
December 13, 2007 at 9:40 pm #646688I need to figure out something for the cat hair too
December 13, 2007 at 9:46 pm #646689Robot vacuum, eh? I think our neighbor has one of those as well… She doesn’t like cleaning the house so she bought one to ease her pain. XD

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! those thieves! those dirty rotten thieves! I was IN this movie, only it was done by my best friend for his highschool project. We didn’t have the budget that they had but we did what we could.
I would help but I am just to tired to get out of bed today~
Engaged to a WeaselDecember 13, 2007 at 10:43 pm #646691My best friend’s mom has a roomba. She also has a Chihuahua that hates my guts. So the day the roomba came up behind the little monster and smacked it on the ratty behind… and it was so scared it wet itself right there on the kitchen floor… It was one of the best days of my life. 8)
That sounds mean, I know, but the dog is mean. It bites my ankles for no apparent reason and growls at everyone who isn’t my friend’s mom. It even snaps at family members it sees every day.

Not that is a FUNNY pictureDecember 14, 2007 at 1:30 am #646693Hehehe, that was funny!
I have had it two days now, and I love it! It does a pretty good job. Especially with the cat hair! I might have to get a Scooba! I hate to mop!
