Setsunawolf -So, so sorry about your dog. I know that the pain of a lost pet is one of the worst, even if not everyone understands. I’m sure he went peacefully, though, and lived a good life with you.

Mish was a special boy. He suffered from shaken puppy syndrome. When he came to my house he was about 4 months old. He had seizures and other issues. As he aged, he outgrew most of the siezures, but there was damage. He had no impulse control. He even tried to haul me off a 20ft bridge once when we were out for a walk. A car scared him, so he thought off the bridge into the Tippee River was a GOOD idea….not so much. 🙂 He cycled betwen being very high functioning, could turn the water spigot on to get a drink, to very low functioning. But he was ALWAYS a happy boy. His tail was always flagged, and he was always smiling. I’ve made mistakes, but taking him in was never one of them. He thrived in my crazy household as long as he had one of his brothers or sisters with him to model his behavior off of.

I specialize in rehab cases for husky rescue. They give me the broken hopeless ones, and somehow I manage to teach them it’ll be okay. I’ve even managed to reclaim several ferals over the years. I suspect Mish was a big part of that with his generous heart and gentle spirit.
