Ridiculously Expensive wishlist

Is there an item that you’d really really love to have, but its so far out of your price range, that you couldn’t justify buying it unless you were a millionaire?

For me, it would be this Lladro oriental dragon in blue. I saw him in person at my local mall several years ago and rushed home to see how much he cost. He’s HUUUUGEEE! I mean, as big or bigger than a Secret Keeper! And probably heavier. And infinitely more expensive. I think last I saw a price on him in 2007 or 2008, it was over $10,000!!! (or maybe $25,000!) But if I had a million bucks, I dont think Id miss $10,000 or a few tens of thousands all that much.

I used to work in a large china store here in Toronto. Daum Crysal had a red oriental dragon that I would have killed for, now this is back 20 odd years, he was $12,000 then. No way I could ever have afforded him, heck, I can’t afford him now.

I always wanted one of those giant sculptures made of junk. I’ve seen SO MANY cool ones that look like the Alien or Alien Queen from the science fiction movies. I’d want one of them, but they run around $5,000-$10,000

Also, an official quad suit costume from the artist Beastcub would be awesome if I had about $3,500 to just throw around.

When I was a kid I saw an awesome coffee table at a shop on the beach where I lived at the time. It was a HUGE bronze mermaid swimming and she had a large pane of glass balanced on her back. When you looked down at it, it looked like a woman swimming under water. When I was a kid it was the coolest thing I had ever seen! I don’t remember how much it was, but when you’re little $100 is a vast fortune!

I just looked for it on ebay! I found a couple that are similar and they are $6,000-$8,000. So, it’s still on my “If I win the lottery…” list! :bigsmile:

I wish I had a picture of it, but there was an antique chinese lamp that I saw a long time ago in a shop. It was a dragons head and serpentine body curling upward and holding an oil lamp that had been turned into an electric lamp. It was taller than I was… It was dated from the 1600s and several thousand dollars.
