I am down here in Monterey Bay, so mom and i visited the shop where I saw my first windstone dragons! When I first came here some 7 years ago, there was a pearl OW and maybe a lap.
They still had some windstones.
1 stegosarus
3 peacock Emperors
1 emerald emperor
1 peacock OWthe stego i think was $56
the emp’s were around $278
the OW was $217(I did take photos if any one is interested)
all pieces have damage. chipped scales, missing claws. not TERRIBLE damage, but it is damage. the Emerald emperor has the least damamge. two small chips are all i saw, and it looks mint other wise..
the other ones have chips every where.
The OW has the claws of one front paw sheered off.I asked one of the persons there and she siad that the owner already marked them down, and that they were retired…she could only give me a 20 percent discount on the tag prices.
well, as much as i drooled over that OW and tried convincing myself i could fix him, I realy do not have the funds.
But i did get the store’s buisness card for if any one would be interested in them! I’ll post the info tuesday.

February 18, 2008 at 6:20 am #666573They had a pearl OW when you were there the first time? How can that be? The pearl OWs were limited production, available only direct from Windstone.
February 18, 2008 at 6:40 am #666574Thats alot of money for broken dragons. I would hate to see what they charge for mint ones.
February 18, 2008 at 6:43 am #666575No kidding. With the 20% markdown they’d still be asking $250 for the most common OW, who’s missing claws. Definitely over-priced.
February 18, 2008 at 6:51 am #666576hmm. maybe it was not an ow? it was a long time ago and i was having a bad day. I do know that what i saw WAS windstones, and one of them at least was an OW.
yeah, I was bumbed about seeing the price and then not even getting offered a decent detail because of the damage. he is so handsome, I would have taken him home…but for the damage, i know i could get a mint one some where for that price.
February 18, 2008 at 6:04 pm #666577I agree with Purpledoggy they are high
February 18, 2008 at 6:10 pm #666578Yikes that’s high. I’d be interested in the OW, but not for that high a price.
It is possible to see a white OW in a store, if they buy “used” Windstones. I got my white OW from Dave. Does anyone know offhand how many were produced?
February 18, 2008 at 6:12 pm #666579Too much for chipped. I agree.
February 18, 2008 at 6:29 pm #666580urgh….I wish they were asking less, I’d love an ow, even damaged, but not at that price….hmmm…
February 18, 2008 at 8:09 pm #666581$378 for a damaged Emperor? Even if it is retired, that is still too high.
You can get a nice mint one from Windstone in three other colors for $344…And the average price for a mint Peacock Emp on eBAy is about $300. So they are being greedy, and those dragons will continue to sit there.
Hope they don’t mind dusting them, cause they will be doing it for awhile at those prices and conditions.
