Your repair looks very good. If I hadn’t known what was broken, I wouldn’t have been able to tell. I’m glad everything worked out for you, and you got to keep the wolf too. I can’t imagine someone packing like that, but it’s happened to me. The person I bought my griffin mother gargoyle from packed it much the way you described your wolf being packed. Needless to say, her wings were snapped off. My husband repaired her for me, and she looks great. But the idea that just a couple pieces of foam is going to protect a Windstone is ridiculous.
Thank you 😀 . Ashame about your gargoyle, emerald, but it’s great that she was fixable. The only major frustration with this whole incident was I specifically asked the seller to pack securely, and they didn’t. But everything worked out fine in the end 😉 . I consider myself lucky.
You may want to be more specific than “pack it securely.” They may not have a clue as to what that means. There is a link to a “how to pack Windstones” tutorial here somewhere. You can always cut and paste that link into your messages to sellers. It shows very specifically how to securely pack Windstones. I can’t remember where it is on the forum, but here’s the link:
