Well, I thought I got a good deal on a very good condition regular production Winged Wolf candle lamp on ebay. I asked the buyer to take the ‘utmost care’ in the packaging, and well, you can see where this is going 😡 . What I got was a wolf with a chipped ear and a large ugly jagged chunk out of his tail. The seller put a few pieces of packing foam around the wolf, but he was still able to bounce freely in the box 😡 . Utmost care ! Indeed 👿 .
It sucks to, I’ve really wanted the wolf for a long time 😥 . Oh well, I’ve contacted the seller so I’ll just have to wait for them now…November 25, 2009 at 4:13 pm #499701November 25, 2009 at 4:50 pm #793946Her are some pics of the damage…
This dent in the box is where the ear hit it 😡 ! It was still sorta stuck there when I unpacked him.
November 25, 2009 at 5:08 pm #793947How people can be so stupid about packing something like that, I just can’t fathom. 😡
Hope you can get the mess sorted without further nuisance.
November 25, 2009 at 5:19 pm #793948Oh NO I wish I had one around to send you. 🙁 Its always one of my biggest fears when opening a box from the mail.
Yesterday I ordered some calenders and portfolio pics of Victoria Frances art work from Heavy Metal and they sent the wrong item. Now they informed me I have to mail the 20 dollar item back first BEFORE they send me the right item (I already paid 28 dollars for shipping). I now have to pay shipping AGAIN. I dont see how this is fair they made the mistake not me. I just dont get people 😕
November 25, 2009 at 5:42 pm #793949WOW! *Sigh* It never ends. 🙁
November 25, 2009 at 6:33 pm #793950Well, the sell actually got back to me rather quickly. They said it was damaged during shipping (duh 😈 ) and that I could ship it back for a refund. I didn’t really want the headache of re-packing and re-shipping the bugger out so I asked if I could get a partial refund. I did’nt pay a lot for him and I don’t think the seller would get a lot back for him anyways. I just sent the pics of the damage to the seller – so I’m hoping to get a response and a refund soon 😉 . (fingers crossed)
November 25, 2009 at 6:48 pm #793951Hell 😮 ! I wish everything else in life was so easily resolved. Got my partial refund and a repair project in my future 😀 . The seller has redeemed themselves – even though they need to bone up on proper Windstone packing. Thanks for letting me vent!
Shortest thread – Ever 😆 .November 25, 2009 at 8:04 pm #793952That’s fantastic, purpleturtle! 😀 Wish all problems would wrap up so nicely! 😆
November 25, 2009 at 11:37 pm #793953Glad to hear it, purple!
November 26, 2009 at 3:04 am #793954Glad to hear you got your partial refund so easily! Many years ago I was in a collectibles shop and saw *gasp* a baby peacock oriental dragon, except that its tail had been snapped cleanly off and it was sitting in a box of crumpled paper and box packaging, waiting to be taken out to the trash. I asked the clerk if they’d give me a discount should I purchase it, and I was flatly told no – they didn’t offer any discounts and if I wanted it, I’d have to pay full price!
I think that’s the same situation as sellers who demand a broken item be returned to them in order for them to issue a refund, even a partial one. Unless the seller is a serious Windstone collector who is going to take the time to repair the piece and resell it as non-mint, they would do just what that collectibles shop did and toss the broken piece out with the trash. It boggles my mind that they’d rather throw the thing away than get some sort of money for it, even if it’s only part of what they wanted.
Forever seeking: Blackwatch the raffle Old Warrior, Jennifer Miller's pieces, and GB Baby unis!

Oh wow! I think I would have waited until the store closed and the trash was taken out and everyone left to go through the trash to rescue the little guy. 😀
November 26, 2009 at 5:29 am #793956Oh good, I am so glad to hear that this has been resolved! 🙂 It’s very nice to hear when things like this get worked out.
November 27, 2009 at 3:40 am #793957Well, I’m definitely no Kyrin 😳 , but I managed to patch up my wolfy. I think he came out pretty good, considering he was the most I’ve ever had to restore – so far 😀 . The pics are kinda crummy – sorry 😳 .

That’s what I was kinda worried about. I knew I could fix the wolf and it seemed a shame to send him back for fear he would just be tossed out with the trash. At least the way the seller and I resolved this situation both of us came out a head 😉 . -
