I am just heartbroken. I took in my sister’s cat because she couldn’t keep him where she was living… and apparently he thinks Windstone dragons make a great chewtoy.
We caught him nomming the nose of my ruby scratching dragon, but discovered that he’d also been at the horns of my male white. Is there any way to get these repaired? They are like my children (silly, I know, but… they are) and I honestly cried when I saw the damage. It isn’t extreme, but especially noticible on the ruby.
January 31, 2010 at 5:05 am #500176January 31, 2010 at 5:28 am #804396there are several people here on the forum that work on repairs for the dragons..
Drag0nfeathers does great work.. Kyrin does as well when she’s not overwhelmed.. and I’ve done some as well.. but with school there’s no way I could have time for it.. I’d check with Drag0nfeathers.. she might have more availability
January 31, 2010 at 1:31 pm #804397Okay, excellent… I will look into that. Thank you! I tried to find a thread where it was mentioned but didn’t see one.
Also, wow your collection is beautiful! The white dragons are my favorites… so beautiful and elegant. The secret keeper is HUGE!
January 31, 2010 at 4:51 pm #804398Some have their info in this thread. http://www.windstoneeditions.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1659
I too have done repairs, but am backlogged on PYO commissions currently, so it would be a wait for me to do them. But, yes, I can attest to Drag0nfeathers and Kyrin’s repair work. ๐

February 1, 2010 at 12:05 am #804400Yes, thank all of you for your help so far! I probably couldn’t find one because I am looking through the forum with my phone, so it’s a little limited…
February 1, 2010 at 12:22 am #804401I’m sorry about your dragons, mottled.kitten ๐ Unfortunately, many cats/rabbits/Guinea pigs have discovered the joys of snacking on harmless Windstones. Never fear, though, because there are indeed many talented repairmen and women here that can help your pretties look good as new again! I myself have sent more than one piece from my collection out to be patched up and been extremely impressed with the result ๐
February 1, 2010 at 12:23 am #804402Oh hai! *raises hand*
I can probably do your repairs. I have to finish up some others I have too so I can probably do them all at the same time. ๐

Best wishes in getting your pieces repaired! There are some folks that do very fine work, here.

I’m sure she secretly sprinkles catnip on her sculpts before they are painted. ๐

Uh-oh. This is the first I’ve heard about it… now I need to go make sure my cats haven’t snacked on my boy!

ETA: No cat damage. Phew! Moved him to the no-kitty zone of my house as a precaution.
