What!?! I thought homeowners insurance was to protect you against loss or damage to your possessions??
I know as a renter they recommend getting contents insurance here but i think that applies to home owners too. Contents insurance would cover all your contents in your house in a case of emergency or theft I believe.

I may be thinking of renter’s insurance. I remember all those Geico radio commercials advertising it.
