For your own safty, I would recommend pepper spray, and keep a can of hornet spray by your bed. It sprays around ten to twenty feet, and would have the same affect.

I bet a good spray of Hairspray in the eyes would also be just as good, but I like your hornet spray idea if your aim is good.

Hornet spray huh? My mother said lastnight she accidently bought habaneros to cook with (not sure on the spelling) and all she did was rub her eye with one finger AFTER she washed her hands and here eye instantly was on fire. She picked all the peppers and seeds out of the food she made and just fro them sitting on the food for a few minutes it was ridiculously spicy.
Maybe I should get a spray bottle and just pulverize a bunch of those into a horrible eye melting fire spray of death!
In other news, I slept like a log while my boyfriend was up all night. Not what I expected, figured it would be the opposite. My sister’s boyfriend is coming back from the hospital MAYBE today, probably tomorrow. Even though he needs to stay in bed for a while it will be better once he’s back. He’s an ex marine, so he’s basically the households security gaurd. It’s comforting with him around, just his presence can scare off any potential punks ^_^ Plus being sick, he will be extra cranky.
Also, just realized, one of the items gone is my Black Violet Peaock Old Warrior, which was a prototype version… yea.. that just wrecked my day a little.

That stinks about the proto BVP. 🙁 I can only imagine what shape he is in now. 🙁 I keep checking craigslist and ebay for anything to show up on there. I’d check pawn stores too. I know cops are supposed to check there for stolen merchandise, but not sure how diligent the cops in your area are. Might not be a bad thing to call around the area describing them to different pawn shops in case someone comes in with them. Check the area in MA and a bit into RI as well (since you are close enough to the border).
Okay, so I’m gonna ask you guys a favor, if you happen across any Craigslist ads or see anything on ebay in the New England/Massachusetts/Boston/Worcester/Central MA area with any or all of these items, give me a heads up. I’ll be looking as well, but help can never hurt. They will probably have damage on them…especially the black violet peacock ones since I have found a lot of black chips in the stairway.

Also, I was talking to someone via PM and she mentioned that maybe they took these items and semi vandalized the place bacause there wasn't a whole lot of valuable things in the house and maybe they were just mad or upset they wouldn't make good money off what they found. I don't have jewelery or cash laying around. I know my sister doesn't either and my boyfriend certainly doesn't. The only nice things I own are my windstones really. The good thing about that though is only collectors really know what ones are worth anything and which ones arent… so I guess that works out in these kinds of situations sort of. *shrug*

I do not know if you already have one, but I do happen to have the Gold mother Dragon that was given to me by scenceable in trade of a huge order of eyes. I would be willing to trade her for something else with you if you like. If you are interested, email me or PM me. (better to do the prior than the latter if you want a quicker response). She is in great condition, I may still have her box too.
drag0n! I’m so glad you and your fur babies are safe and unharmed! When I was in high school our home was broken into while we were in it. Slashed a window screen, stepped over the mom cat and her new litter right under the window, walked through and around my brothers and cousins who were sleeping in that room, one got to the front door and had it open ready to go, one rummaged the dinning room cabinet and one got down the hall to my parents’ room where they were able to grab mum’s purse before she was out of bed, screaming at the top of lungs “YOU GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!” and chased him down the hallway and all three of ’em out of the house. Luckily no one was hurt, but it surely does feel like you’ve been violated. To this day if anyone of my family is home by themselves the doors are always locked and all our windows have locks that only allow them to be open part way (meaning not big enough to allow a body access). Unfortunately, it’ll take a while to start feeling comfortable at home again… I still have trouble with PTSD over that incident. Hope all goes well for you and your family and hopefully you can find a new home where you will feel more secure. Super big HUGS!

So sorry that this happened Mandy and I am glad that you are all OK (human and animal kind) I can only imagine what you are going through and how hard it is to be in your home feeling like you have been “invaded”. I hope they catch who did this and that you have the satisfaction of seeing justice done. Huggs
I just saw this thread- wow, what crappy news! Glad it wasn’t worse but it still really sucks. If a dozen Windstones were taken from my place, I don’t think I’d have any left! 🙁 I’d also go crazy if my gaming consoles were stolen (or especially any of my older games!). Robberies suck!
Good for you, putting in better locks- I really should do that too, and our windows don’t even have locks! Gulp. Also, good for you in reporting your neighbor. I hope he doesn’t get away with this, or his other antics (even if he didn’t do this).
Sorry to hear about your losses and the damage to your home. Let us know what happens with the investigation.

Now at least he is in jail and it really is the neighbors who make or break a neighborhood. I know how hard it is to do what’s right when the culture in a community tells you not to. Second, so sorry about your home. I am not one who believes in coincidence, but in this case, it may have been just that. Makes me want to go get another dog 🙁 Glad to hear that the pets are ok and that not tooooo much was taken. I hope you’re doing ok.
Thanks ski <3 Well… it suddenly got super cold so I don't think we are goinna fix the room right now. We taped off the living room and moved the living room to the dining room for the winter basically. When spring hits, we are gonna redo the walls to cover all the holes. I'm figuring a lot of spackle and textured paint or something. Then we will have a fresh living room and we can move everything back in there and then that will prompt us to redo the dining room. I have been wanting to anyway…
Also, the cops didn't do a damn thing. They have no updates for us and homeowners isn't going to cover my Windstones. Sort of annoying… guess I need to look into getting real insurance on those in the near future.
