The golds aren’t exactly selling like hotcakes from the store, so I’m thinking that people who want one can come here and buy it, and if they do start selling like hotcakes, Windstones can just restock the store.
I do admit, though, I’d like to see the dealers get some new pieces. The last new pieces put into regualr production were the black gold coileds.November 12, 2007 at 6:46 pm #636011Greater Basilisk wrote:The golds aren’t exactly selling like hotcakes from the store, so I’m thinking that people who want one can come here and buy it, and if they do start selling like hotcakes, Windstones can just restock the store.

I agree with the dealers part. The ONE dealer anywhere remotely near me doesn’t have too many new pieces and he says he only orders new ones once in a great while. Right now he has a bunch of BG because that’s what we told him to order… but that was months ago so he still doesn’t have any new ones.
To me, seeing something in person makes me decide if I want it if I didn’t in the first place. I never wanted a rainbow mother, but seeing in her in person made me want her. Maybe if I saw the BG Male coiled in person, I’d want to pay the huge $83 dollar price tag… but until then, no.
November 12, 2007 at 7:20 pm #636012I REALLY want a gold lap, but the $230 for it, when I can geet a Riser for $262 is sorta holding me back…The Fledgie was worth the $100. So, by the time I can afford the LP Lap, he will be gone like the Ruby OW. But, I guess it saves me money… π

That’s actually the problem I have too. Funny, that. π

Good point. The see-in-person isn’t such an argument for me, of course, because there are no dealers here, but for the usual buyer, that definitely applies.

Me, too! That’s exactly how I ended up with a Peacock Oriental — I had never even thought about buying an Oriental dragon, and I didn’t even like the Peacock color. Then one day I walked into the dealer’s shop to see if they had a White I needed … and there was the most beautiful Oriental dragon I’d ever seen. I bought him on the spot. π
(Several years later, my Whites almost complete, I started looking around for more Pea Orientals, only to find out they were retired! So I had to hunt them down on Ebay over the span of a few years, but now Taishou, Showa and Heisei are happily united!)
Interested in buying or trading for: GB Pebble Sitting Red Fox in dark grey, Lap Dragon Test Paints (Water Sprite, Glacial Pearl, Opulence, Pastel Rainbow, and many others - see my Classifieds ad), Blue Morpho OW, GB Pebble Loaf dragons in blue/aqua/teal, and Griffin Test Paints (Black Rainbow or Frosted Jade).
