Oh, Silverarrow! I am so there! I’ve got way too much stuff too, and I need to unload. I’m having a garage sale on the 11th & 12th of July, but I don’t think it will make much of a dent. Most will probably end up at the thrift store.
I regret spending all sorts of money on Beanie Babies. I will never get their cost back. 🙁

So true. I regret not unloading my beanies when they were worth something. I kick myself repeatedly over not selling my (forget the name) black panther for $50. I should have taken it. Now I wouldn’t even get $10 for him…
June 13, 2008 at 9:27 pm #712826Since all of my beanies were MWMT, stored in baggies, etc., one year I donated most of them to Toys For Tots. I clipped part of the tag so adults wouldn’t be “interested” in them. I figured they could use them as a small extra gift.
June 13, 2008 at 9:55 pm #712827I’m planning on donating them to the teddy bear night. I have too many plush toys, so this year I think I’ll make a big donation.
June 13, 2008 at 10:48 pm #712828You never know Beenies could come back
June 13, 2008 at 10:58 pm #712829Heh, my grandmother, bless her heart, spent all that time buying three of each kind for her three granddaughters (me, my sister and my cousin) and the beanie babies were her special thing she left us.
I have two huge tubs full of them that we got when she died. I don’t think I could ever get rid of them. I’ll have to put them up on a shelf or something.
June 14, 2008 at 1:24 am #712830I got way too wrapped up in the Beanie thing too. I have way too many of them. I have donated a few to Toys For Tots like lamorte did. I may donate a few more this year. 😉
June 14, 2008 at 2:10 am #712831I’ve got a few large storage plastic bins of those Beanies too. I gave a lot of them to a friend I used to work with, for her little girls to play with. But I kept all the ones I really liked, and were special to me. Which would be all the teddy bears, and a few others. Magic, the white dragon, is probably one of my most favorite ever made though.
June 14, 2008 at 2:14 am #712832I think I have all of the beanie dragons. Even the one that was just produced for England or Wales. I don’t remember which. Every time I go through them, I talk myself out of getting rid of them. 🙄
June 14, 2008 at 2:20 am #712833Which one was just produced for England? I only know of 2 dragons…. Magic and Scortch. But then again, I did get out of collecting them around 2001 or 2002.

June 14, 2008 at 2:42 am #712835Wow, a lot has come out since I stopped collecting!
I’m glad I stopped, cause there is no way I could fund those on top of my Windstones, artglass, and owls. 😆June 14, 2008 at 2:43 am #712836I didn’t pay that much for them. It was the only website I could find quickly with all the pictures. 😆
June 14, 2008 at 2:45 am #712837Nowadays they don’t cost much. But, I’d have so much catching up to do, and it would add up quickly!
June 14, 2008 at 3:00 am #712838Yeah. I’ve had those for a while. I got them as they came out. I’ve really cut back on buying them now. They changed beanies anyway. You should check out the Ty website. They’re trying to compete with Webkinz. 🙄
