Look at that! It’s a real dragon! Well, as close as we’re going to find to one on this planet, anyhow.
Here’s more photos of related species:

(I like this one. It’s tiny! And cute!)I had a hard time finding information on them, wikipedia doesn’t have much. I did turn up this: http://animaldiversity.ummz.umich.edu/site/accounts/information/Draco_volans.html

April 12, 2007 at 4:12 am #561041Neat pictures, SPark. Did you have a lot of free time on your hands today? 😛
April 12, 2007 at 4:14 am #561042Just the last hour or so. I got all the day’s work actaully finished for once. (Shocking!) So I’ve been randomly surfing the net looking at cool stuff.
April 12, 2007 at 4:15 am #561043😉 😆
April 12, 2007 at 4:24 am #561044Very neat! I didn’t even know those existed.

April 12, 2007 at 4:50 am #561046Oh yes! I remember reading about microraptor recently. so cool!
I dunno though, fossils are amazing and interesting, but there’s something about knowing that I could theoretically go hop a plane and go somewhere where I could catch and hold a real, life, breathing flying lizard that’s just amazing to me.
April 12, 2007 at 4:53 am #561047hahahahaha! I see. yeah, i know what you mean.
April 12, 2007 at 5:05 am #561048If I could get one as a pet, I so would! But I imagine that something used to gliding about might not do well in a small cage. Well, that and they don’t exactly have them in pet stores!
April 12, 2007 at 5:09 am #561049Also, speaking of real and fossil dragons, look what I just found!

April 12, 2007 at 5:48 am #561050OH yeah! I drew a picture of that species! I was so extatic when it was found, although I am on pins and needles for the rest of the skeleton to be discovered and not just the skull.
http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/44908379/?qo=102&q=by%3Akoishii-kitty&qh=sort%3Atime+-in%3Ascrapsthat is an awesome skull to flesh out.
April 12, 2007 at 6:19 am #561051Cool! I hadn’t seen that. I’ve kind of skimmed over your gallery, but I didn’t have time when I found it to really go through and look at all of it.
Your art is so freaking awesome!
April 12, 2007 at 6:21 am #561052XD I have way too much of it and still want to do more.
