I just purchased my second RF dragon, a Sitting Spectral, and I noticed that in the areas of his red paint there were gold flecks. You could only really see them well in bright, direct sunlight. The only other RF I have is my Fledgling dragon, but he doesn’t appear to have these gold flecks. Was it something you only did with the larger sculpts? Has anyone else noticed this on there RF dragons to? Just curious 😉 .
Im getting a RF scratcher, he will be here this week,

It almost sounds like you have one of the first 10 (or so) RF sold on ebay; they all had “magic paint” on them. Mind you, I have no idea if the spectrals were done that way. Did you purchase it from an individual or a store? If it came from a store, then it’s weird, but if it was a private sale, then that might be it.

He came from a local dealer. Just curious 😉 .[/quote I checked all the Red Fires I have here and they all have gold flecks ( that is different from the magic invisible paint, which is rainbow colors in the sunlight) on the surface -is it possible the one you have without flecks is a ruby?
If you are referring to my Fledgling, I’m positive he’s a Red Fire – I don’t own any Rubies. The red fire fledgling has no gold flecks. As for my other and only other Red Fire, the Spectral, he does have gold flecks – not the rainbow (invisble paint). I know the difference 😉 . I guess my next question is the Red Fire fledgling suppose to have gold flecks? If so, my poor guy got over-looked 😆 .

And my RF Scratcher has gold flakes on him.I have two RF Fledglings. The gold flakes are quite easy to see on one. 😀 I put the second one next to it, and … no matter how long I look, I’m not sure. If they are there, they are pretty faint. I will have to check tomorrow in the daylight, but they definitely are not the same. Maybe a different batch of paint? 😕

That might be the case. I just gave my RF Fledgling a good look-over in bright sunlight. He does seem to have to have a tiny amount of the gold flecks, but only a teeny-tiny bit here and there. Definitely not like my Spectral – where it’s very obvious.
On a side note, it’s too bad the RF paint job is so unstable in sunlight. The color really is gorgeous in it. Funny, I didn’t really like the color until recently. Wait…is that a gold fleck right there? 😮 They are so faint and so far between that they are pretty much non existent. 🙁
I did not initially like the Red Fire from pictures, but I finally bought a Fledgling. I liked it but didn’t love it. But then I got a Lap and fell in love with the color. So I bought a Riser and loved that even more. Now I’m waiting for my Spectral to arrive. It fast became my favorite Windstone color. 😀 I wish we could have had a few more pieces in the Red Fire before it was dropped, particularly the Royal Hatchers. 🙁

I have a scratcher in RF and love <3 the color! I would buy a Kinglet in this color if it existed. 🙁
