I found an emerald oriental (female one holding the orb in its claw) somewhere for $150…is that a lot to pay? I haven’t bought it yet. The Male with the orb in its mouth is $300, and the baby is $130…all emeralds.

Its not alot, but Ebay is probably cheaper. LIH would know, but she has not been around lately…

Hmm, I am watching the ones on Ebay right now too, I just think they will all shoot so darn high before I could maybe snag one of these emeralds before it’s too late. What about the baby and father sun dragon price tags…$130 and $300? I have no concept of what these originally cost or what they ought to cost.

The ‘mother’ oriental isn’t too bad, I paid $127 on ebay for mine in emerald. I think the babe and the sun dragon are a bit steep though.

The price difference is because the female has a broken horn, which I think I can fix. I don’t know if I should buy it though yet or not. I’m worried that if I don’t act soon I’ll lose it, but I don’t want to pay too much. Then again, all the other orientals on Ebay everyone’s gonna be fighting for so those prices may go higher.

Ah. Mine was mint in box with her tag too, so maybe $150 isn’t so great after all. They do show up on ebay if you want to wait.

They also have an emerald coil for $140 with no scratches and things.

:sigh: what to do about the orientals though…I do prefer a broken one to a mint one…

Ah, well, I reckon it’s up to you then. Will they haggle with you?

            #536737

            I don’t know, I don’t think so but I’m asking now.

The sun dragon sold for $167 and the baby for $69, so I think they are too pricey. I dont think they would go that high if they were listed regular.

Sunshinespirit.com has really high prices like that for the emeralds. If you want a mint one bad enough, I can see paying that price, but definetely not for a broken one. In my opinion it should be closer to $100 (or less). I could be way off though.

That’s too much, Water. Especially with the horn broken. I paid $150 for my mint JADE (not emerald) “female” oriental on ebay not too terribly long ago. And REALLLY recently, like less than 2 months ago, I got a peacock oriental for $100 – the gold leaf was cracked on the horn, but otherwise mint. You can definitely get a better deal.
